Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey endorsed Donald J. Trump on Friday, a major turn in a wild race and one that gives the New York businessman a major boost as he heads into the pivotal Super Tuesday contests.
Mr. Christie was a candidate himself until he came in sixth place in New Hampshireâs primary. But his backing of Mr. Trump comes after weeks of him saying that it was time for the âentertainmentâ portion of the race to end, and as he had said that the type of executive leadership that a governor has is important.

Chris Christie - still massively better than Glenn Beck.
Zombies can't talk...unless you're referring to the 'Warm Bodies' version of zombies.
Sheesh, get your zombie lore correct at least.
yes, they’ve been sticking up for each other
I hadn’t noticed, but I was just following through on your thought. If Christie had endorsed someone else, I suspect that many, not all, of the Trump supporters who like him now would be back to jeering the N.J. governor and his endorsement choice.
Endorsements seems to be mostly for the donors and a few minutes of free campaign advertising.
Staten Island does tend to come through!
I wasn’t thinking about the primary. Probably Trump would get that, I imagine. All 20 votes, lol!
The same as you have been using.
Like when you said this yesterday to me.
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA. He fooled you but good, o self-righteous prig! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! He fooled you but good, o self-righteous prig! You whitewashed tomb. Floofing yourself up as holy on the outside, but inside youre full of rot.
The funny thing is the "But Good" (which I highlighted in red) part of your comment, reminded me of an old poster on FR that was banned that used that odd term quite often. The poster went by the name of "TBL". He had a strange fascination with Ann Coulter. He later posted on the anti-site (Libertypost) about the time you joined FR.
Okay, thanks.
Trump winning NY ? Difficult, but given this election season, I cannot utter the word “impossible.” Trump will go nuclear on the Democrat. We haven’t seen a GOP candidate run a nuclear campaign since Lee Atwater’s 1988 magnificent defenestration of Dukakis.
When you write off large chunks of the country, don’t act surprised when your performance is appalling there.
?
Perhaps you meant to reply to someone else?
Cruz should focus on OK and ARK and hope for a hat trick ...
Kasich ... best he can do is 2nd place in MA - VT.
only 41 votes for CRuz on this site.
in Maine, most people have to travel more than 30 mi to get to their caucus site on SAT
people in Danforth have to travel 1 hr 34 min to their caucus in East Machias. GOP is Sick.
Richard Allen, the defrock Nixon advisor, was in Reagan campaign and describes the happenings (also giving himself credit for setting it up).... so what you say figures. The freaking Rockefeller RINOs- which is what and who GHWBush and the Bushes are— hated Reagan. Doesn’t surprise me a bit, and it fleshes out just how the DEMONRAT Rockefeller wing of the RINO party works— they are ALL NWO. It would be and probably is true, no surprise to learn “the donald” is wholly liberal RINO-fake demonrat Rockefeller supported. So, question— whom do the Kochs support. They aren’t “pals” with the rockefellers, btw or with warren buffett dinner.
I knew I shouldn’t have posted in that birther thread, I’m getting spammed by mental defectives.
if Romney wants to get in, the deadlines for ballot:
CALIFORNIA 3/26
NEW JERSEY 4/4
Romney is locked out of everything else. Except SD.
That would be a death match on June 7.
Christie is a liberal Republican endorsing another liberal Republican.
I live in NY State and Christie, as head of the gubernatorial elections, would not give CONSERVATIVE Repuclican gubernatorial candidate Rob Astorino money for his campaign.
But yet Christie gave a LIBERAL Republican, who was running for the governor’s race in CA, and who voted for Obama, money to run his campaign.
40 yesterday. Near 4 to 1.
We have the kind of a candidate people here always claimed they wanted and he’s a distant 2nd to a fast talking NY RINO. WOW. Fail.
NY is mentioned too.
Crazy idea, counter productive unless Rubio and Gay’s itch quit.
idk who beats trump in NY
deadline passed. 6 names on ballot.
the 5 plus bush.
yea Kasich and Rubio wont campaign in NJ NY. quit before then. not crazy idea.
they want a “brokered” convention. stop TRump on 1st ballot and throw it to the delegates.
Cruz wont be the nominee.
I am sure he stays in the race.
the threshold in CT is 20%, so I might not vote for him here if he is below the threshold.
Trump is a populist, not part of the religious right or a “supply side” theorist. But that is where the populist grassroots is at.
