BOSTON As Massachusetts prepares to vote in the state's presidential primaries this coming Tuesday, a new WBUR poll shows Donald Trump holds a hefty lead among likely Republican voters (topline, crosstabs).

Trump has 40 percent of the vote, with Ohio Gov. John Kasich and Florida U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio battling for second place with 19 percent each, and Texas U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz in fourth place at 10 percent.

Ok. You’ve made your point this morning but it doesn’t change anything. Trump is going to win MA by a lot. Why don’t you go complain and a pro Cruz thread. You’ll find lots of simular people in denial over there as well.

This is a conservative website that supports conservatives. My first choice is Trump and my second is Cruz.

I do not consider free trade that destroys American jobs conservative.
I do not consider harboring illegal immigrants conservative.
I do not consider abortion conservative but neither do I consider it conservative to force a woman to carry a child that may kill her..
I believe in private charity but public safety nets as conservative.
I consider the government ensuring physical security from outside threats conservative.
It is conservative to set up an environment where one can achieve economic security reasonably.
I do not consider it conservative to provide public benefits to the point one does not have to work, if physically able, to have economic security.
I consider allowing big business and banks to consolidate and drive down small business conservative.

No I’m saying you’re voting against Hillary, don’t say their the same because Trump has no history as a politician. Hillary is known, Trump is not.

And don’t say well I just won’t vote, because you actually are choosing the other candidate. In our electoral system he with the highest percentage wins, so choosing not to vote is actually choosing the other candidate. IF a candidate needed to reach a certain number of votes instead of percentage, not voting can work. A sports analogy> basketball game, seconds left opponent driving for the winning basket, and you intentionally step out of the way and let him make the layup. You didn’t make the shot, but you helped him win the game. Reality.

Trump does well in the liberal Republican states.

Yesterday a coworker of mine who voted for Obama twice but doesn't like Hillary said that he is going to vote for Trump because most of his positions are liberal.

He is for single payer and he told me that Trump is too, that he is just saying he isnt to win the primary.

Except that he says conservative things and, gee, dominates in conservative states.

This line of argument is worn out. Time for realistic analysis that deals with reality.

“.......the answer is to nominate someone with balls who loves America AND can communicate to the electorate.”........

And one who will build our military and support our veterans, back down our enemies, change the enormous inbalance of trade and in his own words, "Make America Great Again". I do NOT see any of the other candidates doing anything close to that. Trump is not the most "ideal" candidate but the one that just might save this nation which it so badly needs.

Well as long as he SAYS conservative stuff then I guess he is the guy. Wow. He is salesman and knows what to say to sell his goods. I didn’t think freepers were so easily fooled.

You are the one apparently fooled by people who not only had a chance to SAY “conservative things” but to do something and didn’t (Cruz and Corker, TPP, couldn’t get ONE “conservative” senator to attend his global warming hearings). So, yeah I will go with a guy who actually built something and paid employees.

Yeah, all conservative should look down on the riffraff that supports Trump. Drive them off to the DNC. Let them vote democrat.

Who cares that a crossover vote to Trump is almost always out of true support rather than primary mischief?

“There are a bunch in the NE.”

Funny, I live in the NE and NONE of these states are republican, liberal or otherwise.

“Romney/Scott Brown country.”

That’s Mass, and it’s as liberal democrat as you can get.

“Maybe they see Trump as their revenge on conservatives.”

Maybe they see Trump as their revenge on liberal republicans.

They ALL say they’re ‘conservative’, only Cruz is.

Why single out Trump and his supporters?

NO, the libs in the GOP are swooning over Trump.

Chris Christie Endorses Donald Trump (The New York Times ^ | February 25, 2016 | Staff)

Its conservatives who see him as a big problem.
