Rick Tyler, the Senior Communications Advisor for Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), issued a public apology after spreading a false story reporting that Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) made a nasty comment to a Cruz staffer about the Bible.
"I want to apologize to Senator Marco Rubio for posting an inaccurate story about him here earlier today," Tyler wrote on Facebook after sharing the false story online. "The story misquoted a remark the Senator made to the staffer. I assumed wrongly that the story was correct."
The false report indicated that Rubio said that there were "not many answers" in the Bible -- when in fact, Rubio commented that "all the answers" were in the book of scripture.
Tyler indicated that he communicated with the Cruz staffer in the video, who explained that Rubio had made a "friendly and appropriate remark" about the Bible.
"Since the audio was unclear, I should not have assumed the story was correct," Tyler wrote. "I've deleted the post because I would not knowingly post a false story. But the fact remains that I did post it when I should have checked its accuracy first. I regret the mistake."

I have been on this forum a long time and have never seen such name calling, insults, and never had anyone attempting to shut down my opinions. And this comes only from Trump supporters. That is my experience.
“the GOP apparatus in Nevada is a mess and the caucus is going to be a clown show.”
For a second there I thought you might be talking about the Colorado GOP apparatus and OUR caucus clown show! (Coming soon to a channel near you on March 1.)
Good point. DABDA applies lots of places, and this is one of them after a brutal loss in S.Carolina Saturday. Cruz himself was playing the hyper positive thinking card on Saturday night. I listened to him. It’s good leadership, but that also could have been a form of denial.
Not quite; did you view the video from the person responsible where he was videotaped using very foul language after being caught and before this apology ? Nita posted it last night.
Well once again no Cruz fans takers on my offer. If you’ll keep it to yourself (I’m not yet done giving Cruz supporters a chance to show just how much they believe—or don’t believe—in their candidate’s honesty) I will PM you the example. But you’ve got to keep it to yourself for now—ok?
It’s sad to see what’s happening. People are afraid to post or give an opinion. That’s not good for us or FR.
I thought you were exaggerating and looked it up. You weren’t. Holy crap what a bunghole he is.
Very well said.
Bwahahaha. You see what you want to see,
I have been on this forum a long time and have never seen such name calling, insults, and never had anyone attempting to shut down my opinions.
You obviously don't remember pissant......or the Rudy wars.
It did not originate from Trump. It was a retweet from his campaign, but it’s unclear if it even originated there.
That ‘s a fact. But I’m certain you won’t accept it.
“Since the audio was unclear, I should not have assumed the story was correct”
However, the Cruz campaign didn’t mind circulating a photo of men in a bubble pool, with an arrow pointing to a head, that was visually unclear, indicating it was Rubio. Never mind that all you could see was the back/side view of a guy with dark hair and half an ear and no part of a face showing. It could have been just about anyone in the 2/3 of the US Male population.
“Kind of stupid to ignore that issue unless one is a neocon or international banker.”
Like Trump?
He has relationships with all the international bankers. He has buildings on Wall Street. He has very significant financial ties to china, middle east, and the EU countries.
He’s a fantastic marketer. He knows how to read his audience and tell them what they want to hear.
To justify Teds actions using the fact that everybody does it is supporting dishonest behavior.
Usually, not a problem, but once a person elevates themselves to a morally higher standard, and uses that false elevation to deceive the gullible , he might want to work harder to keep the truth a little more sacred.
I could see that. A year ago, I had a entirely different view of Cruz.
So you tacitly admit your relationship is essentially equivalent to that of Donald's ...
PENN CAUCUS RESULTS REPUBLICANS

"Video Producer MATTHEW MIZBANI"https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCCKbZtAQzCh3wCX2ffAmuWw
Evidently we can infer that "Video Producer MATTHEW MIZBANI" didn't vote for Cruz in the Penn Caucus.
Where's HIS appology for the false subitles on the video he posted?
Yet you still consider Cruz personally responsible for mistakes his staffers make? That is a double standard.
Thank you. It’s really a bit scary. If Trump didn’t have Jewish family members, I’d really be getting alarmed.
“I see you’re absorbing the personality of your messiah Trump, calling your political opponents “liars.” Nice. And maybe I’m not a US citizen, right?”

I see you like to pick fights. You’re going to get one.
I also see you’re absorbing the personality of your messiah Cruz, calling your political opponents “liars.” Nice. And maybe I’m not a US citizen, Black, Army Captain, or Female, right?
