It's the million dollar question as we look to the possibility that Donald Trump is somehow the nominee: Do we as Republicans stand with him? Do we circle the wagons? Do we overlook everything in his past and say "You know what? Better than a Democrat."
The answer, for me at least, is decidedly "No."

The “Red Menace” is so 1950’s....or so say those who don’t understand Communism. Or understand it and want to cloak it in the “Progressive” mantle.
Really. You look at all these protesters marching and they sure have some nice signs. Bought a paid for by the American Communist Party. In a just society these people would be tarred and feather, or worse, and run out of town.
Damn commies. I hate’em. And I don’t hate anyone. Except Communist’s.
"Mash the dirty red scum! Kick 'em in the teeth where it hurts! Kill! Kill! Kill! Filthy bastards! Commies! I hate 'em, I hate 'em! Aaaah! Aaaah!"
Our country hangs in the balance and Trump will bring it to its knees for self gain both in Dollars and his own ego just as much as the Hitlery. I seriously doubt a conservtive would ever consider Trump or Hiltlery. There was only one shot and its going down the tube just as the Left and GOP-e (but I repeat myself) planned it.
Hillary is first and foremost a narcissist, and if she thought she could become President by channeling Reagan she would. She likely does have an ideological agenda, but IMHO her ideology is rooted at least in part in the idea that as a leftist activist one can have a greater and more powerful role in ‘reshaping’ society than as a conservative caretaker who values the individuality of everyone else. Thus, one would be more important as a leftist in power. IMHO this is a huge psychological underpinning driving a significant number of leftist activists.
Trump is arrogant, but he is not a pathological narcissist. There’s a very big difference.
Only 1 problem with your theory.
The GOPe hates Trump
You should have snapped your jaws; you almost caught your tail — at least twice...
Proud to do it for your entertainment, and for whatever other point you are about making concerning false pretenses, and other goodies to be on the lookout for. So you sir/madam, have fired wildly at your shadow twice now. Look out behind you!
Like elections will change anything
There is no political solution
Do we stand with Trump? Why not?
It’s up to the individual voter.
Personally, I won’t vote for a big-government, McConnell-backing, “compassionate” conservative.
I don’t suport Trump but will vote for him if he is the nominee. If democrats win amnesty will happen and it will be impossible to revover the nation from a caudillo run banana republic.
Absolutely we support Trump. Although many of his positions are questionable his is dead on for the three that matters most: Economy, imagination, and ISIS.
Twisted half polish reverse logic still does not explain why Trump would lose on purpose to Hillary.

He could have fooled me.
One of the most important things I have ever heard from a teacher was in the Navy. He told me that probably the most important lessons to learn in life is to know when you have fucked up and to not blame anyone else for it. When I think on this lesson I realize that my father attempted to teach me the same thing but I was too dim at the time to understand. It seems to me that the general American public has not learned this lesson. Or has forgot it. Another great man said that you tend to get the government that you deserve.
Really good lesson, counterintuitive to swallow, but it really does work, in every way you can imagine, and in ways that you don’t expect.
I understand completely, as I had the same thoughts at first. Then i bought his early books and started watching him every single time he opened his mouth. There's some stuff about him I don't like, but there's a lot more that i DO like, especially the way he raises his kids.
Today I watched his oldest son speak to a crowd in Nevada (his dad isn't there). He said he'd only been doing politics for 3 weeks. I predict this Donald Trump Jr. will be a formidable source of help for his Dad in the months to come.
He talks articulately about gun rights, the corrupt GOPe, liberal academia, the Constitution, limited government, and more. My point? He's young. A man this young doesn't get these core conservative beliefs by reading the newspapers. Listen to him and how easily he answers. These are his core beliefs, not something he has to think about first to make sure he says what daddy wants him to say.
BTW, he's a huge hunter and spends just about every weekend hunting or fishing. (he posts the pics on his Instagram account). He's also humble. When someone asked him a question he couldn't answer, he didn't hesitate to admit it.
