Let's dispel the notion that Marco Rubio did not know who he was talking to. When Rubio walked into the lobby of the Columbia Hampton Inn this morning -- conveniently the same one where the Daily Pennsylvanian staffers are posting up in South Carolina and were eating breakfast around 10:30 a.m. -- he was presumably not expecting to run into Rafael Cruz, father of presidential candidate Ted Cruz, and Cruz campaign staffer Christian Collins.
However, once he saw them he decided to have some fun with them.
"Got a good book there," Rubio said to Collins, a young Cruz staffer in a suit, about the book he was reading over his cup of coffee.
"Not many answers in it, especially that one" Rubio added tersely and walked out of the lobby without a backward glance.
Collins was visibly taken aback after being addressed by his boss' political rival. Rafael Cruz and Collins proceeded to discuss under the incident in hushed voices for several minutes.

UPDATE: a Cruz staffer just confirmed that the book in question was a Bible.

I am not a Rubio guy, but I’ll be perfectly honest, I listened to this about 10 times and honestly have no clue what he says during the part where they accuse him of saying “there’s no answers in there”. It doesn’t seem like he says all those words.
But, I love to see Rubio and Cruz in a circular firing squad. :)
I live in Wisconsin and yes it does matter to me. It’s the same reason I kept hammering Gov Walker when he was in.
I want a politicians to say what they mean and mean what they says. As you said, all others can go to hell!
I believe he’s already said he’s not going to run for the seat again.

I don’t believe this video at all. Rubio is much smarter than that . . even IF he doesn’t believe the Bible has answers he would NEVER say it publicly while running for office as a CHRISTIAN.

I believe it. Rubio is a hack and a liar. He lied to Floridians with a smile and he will lie to everyone else.

This is revealing, but peanuts. Rubio is WRONG about the single most important domestic issue - illegal immigration.
On just that, he is not qualified for office.
Rubio is a Catholic. I’m surprised he even recognized it as a Bible.
It was reported by a STUDENT reporter from the University newspaper . . and he just happens to be in the tank for Cruz.

Rubio has been a lot of things, Catholic, Mormon and I thought he was now member of a nondenominational church?
My guess is that the, qualifier, especially that one was meant to cover for his mistake since Rubio is Catholic and it was mostly not a Catholic Bible that they were reading.
