A new Fox News poll of the Democrat primary race shows socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) 16% edging past Hillary Clinton for the first time â and at a faster rate than Barack Obama outpaced Clinton in 2008.
The national poll, conducted Monday through Wednesday, shows Sanders with 47 percent support, 3 points higher than Clinton, with 44 percent support.
Just one month ago, Clinton led Sanders by 12 points in the Fox poll. The change in fortunes is due, in part, to Sandersâ landslide victory in New Hampshire and his almost-level outcome in the Iowa caucus.
The most interesting thing about this latest national poll, however, is how quickly Sanders has edged Clinton. In 2008, Barack Obama did not lead a national poll against Clinton until after Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, South Carolina AND Florida and Michigan had voted.
The first time Obama led a national poll against Clinton was on the eve of Super Tuesday voting in 2008.
In 2008, Super Tuesday was held on February 5th. Twenty-two states and an American territory voted on Super Tuesday. Obama won 12 states, while Clinton captured two and America Samoa.
For the next two weeks, Obama and Clinton traded leads in national polling. After March, Clinton would only recapture the lead in national polling a handful of times.
When Obama first took the lead in national polling in 2008, he had won Iowa and South Carolina. Clinton had won New Hampshire, Nevada and claimed victories in Michigan and Florida. (Because of a dispute over DNC rules, neither candidate campaigned in Michigan or Florida.)

If we get a bernie presidency, the best thing to do might be to become an ex-pat.
Seriously, if we fall to socialism (I mean the full-blown type that sanders touts, then we are over, done, fini).
Second, while Bernie is wrong on almost every issue, I just don't find him as personally repellent as Hillary. Sanders is a muddled Euro-socialist, Hillary is a crook and an avatar for cronyism.
She’s already hit the iceberg. It just takes some time for the ship to sink.
The fact that collectively (A good communist term - collective) “so many brain-dead Americans” voted for not only Sanders but Hillary and Comrade Leader Obama, is WHAT IS TRULY TERRIFYING. And many of them can still vote for another red from among the Democrat candidates.
Democrats are the greatest propagandists in the world, far more devious than Putin, Kim Mentally Ill Eu, the Mullahs of Iran, and even ISIS. The fact so many Americans believe their lies is what is dangerous as well as shocking.
This is prove definite of the destruction and decline of the American educational system, our Constitutional society, and common sense.
Instead of having a sign/movement that says “Black Lives Matter” (BLM), I would have one for the Left that says “Blithering Idiots Matter” (BIM). Or (Blithering Idiots Matter, Barack Obama) (BIMBO).
The more I read, the more I realize how much dirt there is to dig up on Bernie. Him being the nominee may be a blessing - as long as the American people aren’t too far gone to the socialist side (which I’m not convinced that they aren’t)
MSM says this is good then we have to assume its bad......
Bernie crap is here in PA. No Hillbeast... yet
My kids, all for Bernie...
How do you beat free stuff on people that expect it???
I always try to jump 100 feet high too.
These are your young immature liberals who flame out once they get married, latch on to a job etc. Many don’t even vote.
But the nice thing about America, is every four years we talk about these things and debate them. It would be very refreshing to have a presidential campaign between Bernie and The Donald.
IN fact, it is so easy to see what’s happening that it’s almost like it was Heaven sent.
AS long as there are 4 or 5 candidates fighting it out, Trump will win hands down. If it gets down to three, then it’s going to be close for awhile.
I see this happening. After SC they all stay in until maybe after Michigan, by then Trump has it.
On the other side Bernie gets.
So, what would coalesce everyone here behind Trump would be if the alternative were Bernie. IF Hillary, I don’t think people, ie the Trump haters, would vote.
You’d see all the politicians now in Trump’s corner as he campaigns around the country for them.
There’s a fierce debate about socialism and capitalism. In the end more people end up voting than ever before and more for a republican.
Trump is going to be like the second coming.
LOL...BIMBO. I LIKE it!
I agree, think of the mind set of people who would prefer either Bernie or Hillary as the leader of our country. The thought just makes me ill.
I wonder how many millennials realize what would happen to their 401K if Bernie succeeded in his plans to go after Wall Street and the banks?
BTTT
Worse still...Bernary!
.
I believe you could REVISE the headline to read:
"FREE $HIT PASSES UP BULL$HIT"
I think I heard Hillary just say in her Nevada victory speech on Fox “We all want to get secret unaccountable money out of politics....”
