Trump - 42% Hillary - 47%
Trump - 38% Bernie - 53%
What gives with this poll? I know Donald Trump is extremely egotistical and loathsome, but would Americans put an open and avowed crook in the White House over him? Or avowed Socialist?
And whats up with Sanders beating the entire GOP field badly???? Are Americans really going to embrace Socialism now?

February 1980 polling:
Jimmy Carter 58%
Ronald Reagan 33%
Say what you really mean - Hillary or Bernie or bust.....
“Polls are only to be believed if they have Trump winning.”
Well that covers about 98% of polls.
Trump has been losing to Sanders and Clinton for months. Outside of his base everyone else hates Trump.
This poll and others reflect his historically high negatives.around 60% among all voters.
Jeb.......freakin'.......Bush.......
So take ANYTHING this poll says with a grain of salt.
Yes of course Trump loses to Sanders - yeah just keep believing that. Actually Trump loses to Sanders by 40 but I’m glad Rupert is going easy on him trying to send a message “Get out before you totally embarrass yourself.”
No, government was responsible for the financial crash in '08 and '09. The Occupy Wall Street crowd sees it differently, but the facts all point to government. Same as it ever was.
For more on that, see Thomas Sowell. But beware, to Trump supporters, Sowell is no longer a conservative.
These numbers will change once Trump wins the nomination and spars with Hillary (or Biden) in the Debates—Too early to tell anything. Good bet Hillary will NOT be the Democrat nominee.
Sanders will never do as well as this poll suggests. He is not yet well known across the whole country. But if by some miracle he becomes the Dhims’ nominee, he’ll be taken to the cleaners by negative ads during the General Election.
(Still I guess he could carry Vermont, Massachusetts and Oregon.)
But Trump is also relatively unknown to the General Electorate, except for his yuge success as a “reality” TV actor. Therefore, he’s also likely to be seriously damaged by negative ads during the General Election.
So what happens? Bloomberg enters and gathers enough electoral votes (New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, etc.) to throw the choice of our next POTUS into the House of Reps. Then all bets are off.
>> What do these national head-to-head polls have to do with the Electoral College? <<
A candidate who wins 52% or more of the popular vote is virtually a sure lock to win in the EC. Like it or not, it’s just the way things work. It’s very hard to make the math come out otherwise.
You clearly don't like the east Texas dialect, Houston sub-variety. You and me differs on that point.
>> some people, even here, can't stand Sarah Palin's voice; which I never could understand <<
Those of us whom you cite don't care for an extreme Idaho accent. You obviously don't mind. End of story.
That thought doesn't even worry me. It should worry him however. In his pea brain, though, I don't think he quite understands that he's playing real time now with bad people. Real bad people, not boogey men corporate executives that fuel his coffee house fantasies.
Nothing to be ashamed of from natural reality.
Victorian era is long gone. Time to get out of your shell.
Without cheating and fraud in Iowa, Trump could very well have won. No way to know how many voters switched from Carson to Cruz.
I'm just reporting on what I've been told; like it, don't like it, that's up to you and unless you live in Texas and are eligible to vote there, your opinion is meaningless.
We'll soon see which of us is correct and who isn't.
That’s all true; though Trump has already begun to pummel Hillary and Bill.
Yes, this IS an unusual primary/election season, but ONLY because Tru7mp is in it and people either have never seen a REAL MAN before, or have been so dumbed down by PCism, their memories have disintegrated.
Politics, in American, since Washington, has been a BLOOD SPORT; sometime quite literally as with Burr and Hamilton. Jefferson was probably one of THE foulest mouthed, dirtiest trickster ever, though some others have come very close to him. Whispering campaigns, letters to the editor, pamphlets, and broadsides took the place of the net, phones, and T.V. in the late 18th century. And they worked!
The Whigs went after Andy Jackson and his wife so badly, that President Jackson claimed that all of that had killed here and that the Whigs were "murderers"!
I can give many more examples/history lessons, but hopefully these few will be enough to get some posters thing and perhaps even reading some factual American political history now.
“Fox News Poll”
That’s all I had to hear. LOL!
