Trump: Scalia Murdered? ‘Unusual Place to Find a Pillow'
National Review ^ | February 16, 2016 | Ian Tuttle

It was only a matter of time. Donald Trump joined Michael Savage’s Tuesday radio show to talk about Antonin Scalia, and the result was . . . exactly what you’d expect:

SAVAGE: Donald, I need to come back to the topic we’ve all been screaming about here, which is Scalia, was he murdered. I know it’s pretty brutal to say that, and I’m not wanting to drag you into this, but this is going to be bigger and bigger and bigger. I went on the air and said we need the equivalent of a Warren Commission, we need an immediate autopsy before the body is disposed of. What do you think of that?

TRUMP: Well, I just heard today. . . . You know, I just landed and I’m hearing it’s a big topic, the question, and it’s a horrible topic. But they say they found a pillow on his face, which is a pretty unusual place to find a pillow. I can’t tell you — I can’t give you an answer.

soooo, a pillow over a dead man’s face isn’t even a little bit suspcious to you? Let me help you out herr, if indeed there was a pillow over his face, there is suspicion of foul play.

Did you know the Obama phone program was actually a Bush program and Jeb happened to own stock in trac phone, the company giving away all those phones bought with taxpayer money? That’s what I just read.

Head does not equal face. It was over his head. No one there has ever said the pillow was over his face.

Who is the dumb ass now?

The face is part of the head. You Cruz bots are as bad as Clinton defining the meaning of is.

The pillow was not over Scalia's face. The owner of the ranch who was quoted as saying that a pillow was over Scalia's head clarified that he did not mean over Scalia's face - he simply meant that the pillow was further up the bed than Scalia's head was. The context that the ranch owner made the original quote clearly indicated that Scalia had been found resting peacefully, which would hardly have been the case if he'd been suffocated with a pillow.

He was a 79 year old man with health issues, according to a number of people of all political stripes who'd seen him in the last few years. He passed away, as we all do. The important thing is to make sure he is succeeded by a conservative justice.

There was a time on FR when we were expected by other freepers to source anything presented as fact. If you didn't there would be many replies which said one thing: Source? Been there, done that. Freepers would hold your feet to the fire. It was intimidating because they did not suffer fools.

Those days are gone. Healthy skepticism and suspicion is not a bad thing. People have questions, I get that. What I don't get are the posters who are like Crystal Mangum on steroids-stick to a narrative regardless of reality.

Truth depends on facts. Anyone insisting a pillow was found over Scalia’s face is factually incorrect. When I see that I realize we are no longer the FR of the Buckhead era.

It's sad, isn't it?

We are a long long way from the Buckhead era. Very few check their assumptions anymore even though it would only take 2-3 minutes of simple Google searching.

See tagline... :(

I sandwich my head in between pillows to shut out noise.

But I still think Scalia’s sudden death deserves more than a passing glance.

In context of his other statements, I do not find it suspicious

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/2016/02/14/scalia-death-presidio-ranch-poindexter/80379846/

“....”He was very peaceful,” John Poindexter, owner of the Cibolo Creek Ranch resort, where Scalia had gathered for a weekend retreat, told NBC News. “He had obviously passed away with no difficulty at all in the middle of the night.”

Have you seen the picture of the bed? Anyone would need a stack of pillows so the molding would not press into their head. I would not find it out of the ordinary for his head to slump or shift after rigor set in. When that happened the pillows might shift as well.

So the pillow in and of itself is not suspicious, IMHO. It would be if there were signs of a struggle, petichial hemorrhages etc.

You have Bubba down pat.
Poindexter clarified, it was not over his face. But I guess saying it is over his face feeds the frenzy and furthers your narrative instead of relying on factual information.

Cruzbot? LMAO!! Is that supposed to hurt? Where did that come from? I defy you to find a post of mine saying I supported Cruz for POTUS. As a matter of fact, I have said more than once I am not thrilled with any of the candidates.

LOL.

National Review’s, Ian Tuttle has too much idle time on his hands.

I know, I know and you know too, that NR’s ‘hate Trump rampage’ needs fuel 24/7 but this is an unbelievably inane article.

Trump needs to get his facts straight. The pillow was not over his face.

Why does Trump need to get his facts straight when the guy that reported that fact changed his story?

The cause of his death will always be questionable because there was no quality investigation.

Of course most government investigations now produce only the results desired.

+1,000

I used to be a bit careful about choosing between Cruz and Trump.

These jerks have shifted my position: I am now fully for Trump.

The Cruz supporting scum can GTH.

Still respect Cruz and hope Trump appoints him to the SCOTUS, but Cruz’s supporters here and in the GOPe have simply ###### me off. Not only that, the GOPe stink is now too much to ignore.

Anyone insisting a pillow was found over Scalia’s face is factually incorrect.

It depends on which set of facts you want to believe since no one has presented any facts to a jury.
