Donald Trump holds a broad 16-point lead among those likely to vote in South Carolina's Republican primary this Saturday, according to a new CNN/ORC Poll. Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton tops Bernie Sanders by 18 points in the state's Democratic primary, which will be held a week later.
In the Republican race, Trump, at 38%, tops Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, who holds second place with 22%. Behind those two, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio garners 14% support, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is at 10%, retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson has 6% and Ohio Gov. John Kasich is at 4%.

You’re so full of it. You’re almost as bad as Cruz. RCP Averages had Gingrich ahead anywhere from 5-10 points ahead in the days preceding the election. While it is true that Romney held a lead in the weeks before, Gingrich was ahead by as many as 23 points the month before the election. Cruz has never been ahead in any SC poll. The only reason Newt won was because on January 19th, 2 days before the primary, the famous debate was held where Newt scolded John King. After that, it was over and Newt won. There are no more debates for SC, and your boy Cruz didn’t win it anyway. Sorry to burst your fantasy bubble, but Ted is going down hard in SC...it’s almost over.
Gingrich was behind in the SC polls by 16 points with 4 days to go. He CRUSHED Romney by 12 points. That's a swing of a massive 28 points
Also, Mike Dukakis was nearly 20 points ahead of George Bush in mid July of 1988.
The the polls today are showing a dead heat between Trump and Shrillary, this could be a 40 point blowout for Trump in November. Not predicting that but generally the polling is overstated on the side of the Democrats in these early general election matchups.
Beside, Shrillary is having a heck of a hard time with Bernie Sanders! Not a good candidate!
Nonsense.
First, your assuming establishment support would flock to Cruz. Let that sink in for a second. You’re admitting Cruz “the most hated in DC” is now palatable to the establishment. A good indicator where support will go is by looking at the Libertarians. Trump has 45% Cruz 27%.
Second, right now it’s 22% for Cruz 78% for somebody else.
Kasich is at 4 % in one poll and at 15% in another.
Bush is at 7% in one poll and at 13% in another.
Cruz is at 12% in one poll and at 23% in another.
Even Trump is at 33% in one poll and at 42 in another.
That's nuts. South Carolina has always had dodgy polls. Election results don't tend to often reflect polls.
Today, Rush claimed that Trump only gets 25% of the conservative vote. Anyone know where he got that?
Well Trump made out like a crazy person in that last debate.
“...which ones will view Trump favorably after all of the name calling attacks he has done against his opponents?”
...which ones will view Cruz favorably after all of the name calling attacks he has done against his opponents?
“That’s nuts. South Carolina has always had dodgy polls. Election results don’t tend to often reflect polls.”
Yeah, ok.
Whatever gives you a goodnight sleep.
I hope after SC to never hear another Cruz supporter scream “the polls are lying” for the rest of the election.
Polls have been agreeing with Trumpsters for 7 months!
If Rafael Pastorson did not steal votes from the Doctor,
who knows, even Iowa polls would be correct.
But I heard Rafael Pastorson has a secret ground game in SC?
CODE PINK.... Blaming Bush for 9/11. Only liberals do that.... If it comes down to Trump vs Cruz, the establishment is going to go for the guy who blames 9/11 on Bush.
How is Rafael going to change DC when he can not get a single one of his 99 senate colleagues to endorse him?
Has Trump started his campaign against Sanders?
Only Cruz has been cheating and stealing votes from Dr Carson. How is such a person a good Christian?
Has Cruz? Both Cruz and Rubio are beating Trump in the polls against Clinton and Sanders.

False.
Happening under his watch is not blame.
Saying “they lied” in order to go to war has been said by americans of all political stripes as well as posted here for years.
Irrelevant poll, since both Rubio and Cruz have small chance of winning nomination.
Trump is focusing his fire on nomination contest. He has not even started on Hillary/Sanders, except Trump shut up Hillary prestty quick on the war on women meme, with just one blast. Trump Vs Hillary/Sanders polls will have much more meaning after nomination.
How many votes do you think Cruz “stole” from Carson?
Carson shot himself in the foot.
His campaign released a notice the day of the caucuses that he was not going to Newhampshire but going home to get a change of clothes.
CNN reported it and tweeted it. The CNN report made it sound negative toward Carson. CNN says they issued a retraction on twitter, but they aired the video the night of the caucuses.
Somebody within the Cruz campaign and the Rubio Campaign both shared this news.
Even though it was not Cruz’s direct fault he publicly apologized to Carson multiple times, and even asked to meet privately with him.
Carson accepted the original apology but then hasn’t quit complaining since.
Trump has made it important and is using Carson because it damages Cruz.
Is it unfortunate it happened yes, did Cruz do the right Christian thing and apologize yes.
Unchristian behavior here:
1. Carson.. Cruz apologized, he accepted the apology, He should drop it.
2. Trump.. All he is doing is stirring the pot.
3. Rubio.. Where is his apology?
