Donald Trump holds a broad 16-point lead among those likely to vote in South Carolina's Republican primary this Saturday, according to a new CNN/ORC Poll. Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton tops Bernie Sanders by 18 points in the state's Democratic primary, which will be held a week later.
In the Republican race, Trump, at 38%, tops Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, who holds second place with 22%. Behind those two, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio garners 14% support, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is at 10%, retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson has 6% and Ohio Gov. John Kasich is at 4%.

I finally got one on Rubio...when I got one last month on Cruz they knew what I thought of Cruz, haven’t had one since and did the same to Rubio today...
It will be interesting to see where Cruz comes in for this election.
I don’t see 20% in his future, but he may pull it off.

I’m surprised a bit that this was so close, but then again, the word “Republican” means little to most of us these days.
Bush continuing to falter, it’s over for him as soon as his bank account dries up.
If Trump is ahead by that much with evangelicals, this SC primary is going to be crushing to Trump’s opposition.

Say let me see if I get this right.
Ted Cruz is at 22% and 14% at the same time.
Rubio is at 14% in both polls.
Kasich however, is at 10% in one and 4% n the other.
The polls are all over the place. South Carolina is notorious for dirty tricks and wrong polls. Forget the polls and concentrate on a hard core fearsome ground game.
