RESPONSE TO THE LIES OF SENATOR CRUZ
facebook.com ^ | February 15 | Donald J. Trump

Posted on 02/15/2016 8:47:24 PM PST by Helicondelta

Ted Cruz is a totally unstable individual. He is the single biggest liar I've ever come across, in politics or otherwise, and I have seen some of the best of them. His statements are totally untrue and completely outrageous. It is hard to believe a person who proclaims to be a Christian could be so dishonest and lie so much.

Cruz said I would be appointing a liberal judge when in fact I will appoint a great conservative and I am the only candidate who has gone so far, at the debate, as to suggest two individuals I feel would best represent the conservative values we need to protect: William "Bill" Pryor Jr. and Diane Sykes.

Cruz says I am pro-choice, when in fact I am staunchly pro-life and have been for a long time. Like Ronald Reagan, on many issues, I have evolved.

Cruz says I am in favor of ObamaCare, when in fact I have spoken about repealing and replacing this disaster of a system at every speech throughout my campaign and since it's inception. Meanwhile, Cruz was responsible for getting Bush to put in the judge that failed to vote against ObamaCare twice.

Cruz says I will try to take away your second amendment rights, when I am one of the strongest proponents of the right to bear arms and I say so in every speech that I have made for years. I am a proud member of the NRA and so are my sons.

Cruz has become unhinged and is lying with the hopes that his statements will go unchecked until after the election and he will save his failing campaign.

In Iowa, Cruz told thousands of Ben Carson voters that Dr. Carson had left the race and to instead vote for Ted Cruz. He apologized when the race was over. Likewise, his fraudulent voter violation form sent to Iowa voters. If Ted is going to continue to lie with such desperation, I have no choice but to fight back.

One of the ways I can fight back is to bring a lawsuit against him relative to the fact that he was born in Canada and therefore cannot be President. If he doesn't take down his false ads and retract his lies, I will do so immediately. Additionally, the RNC should intervene and if they don't they are in default of their pledge to me.

I am the strongest on the borders and I will build a wall, and it will be a real wall. I am strongest on illegal immigration, strongest on ISIS, strongest on the military and I will take care of our Vets. I will end common core and preserve the second amendment. I will renegotiate our trade deals and bring our jobs back to our country. I am the only person who will Make America Great Again

was Cruz's hired staff that sent out the emails about Carson

That hardly refutes my claim that Cruz's staff is sliming him.

What about your lies?

I could go through each thing you post and take it all apart, showing how much in error it is, (it most typically being a pack of distortions & lies supported by Trump supporters) but that work has already been done on other threads regarding the same information.

As far as I can tell, the thread is all about those.

If Trump doesn’t like it, it must be a lie...

The fact is, Trump has changed a lot of positions on major issues since he started running for President. Trump is quite right to say that his speeches since last June have been consistently orthodox. However, Cruz is pointing out that for his entire adult life up until last June, Trump had been consistently Pro-Choice, Pro Big Government, Anti-2A and a whole bunch of other positions consistent with being a run-of-the-mill New York businessman.

There is nothing wrong with having those positions. Millions of New Yorkers think the same thing. There is also nothing wrong with changing those positions something more consistently conservative. We should encourage every Pro-Choice, Anti-2A, Pro-Gov person to come over to our way of thinking.

But it is not wrong to suggest that the voters should look at such a dramatic shift and evaluate whether the politician who has changed positions for the duration of the campaign can be counted on to maintain them after election day.

[Ted is acting as if he is a contestant it that hit show, “Who Wants to be the Anti-Christ?”]

Really? You believe Ted is the anti-Christ? And what about Ted’s supporters like me? Are we part of a satanic army? So where do you go from there, say with Hillary and Bernie’s followers, they must be out of this world evil.

So if Trump has 40 of Republican supporters, that only makes 20% of the total population. So, you are surrounded by 80% of the population who are a satanic orc army. Now that is straight-jacket paranoia.

“If Trump somehow wins the nomination, we are going to make life miserable for the naive Trumpsters here all through the general election as Trump reverts to his life-long liberal self and demonstrates that everything he said during the primaries was a lie.”

I’m sorry to do this, but what this poster has written sounds a bit unhinged. My life is already miserable under obama, I wouldn’t want a poster attempting to make life more miserable should Trump win the nomination. Seriously, who says things like this??

[the problem isn’t what trump says today, the problem is what he may say tomorrow.

I think the real problem is what trump’s supporter will have to scramble to defend and to justify on FR tomorrow. ]

What happens when Trump tees off some of his own supporters, which is inevitable, and goes scorched earth on them? Because Trump can turn on anyone and because he has to win 100%, that means he has to destroy everyone eventually.

The one video clip I sent you was from over a week after Father’s Day last year, June 29th 2015. Trump at the Chicago City Club stated about the roughly 30 million illegals currently in the country, “You have to give them a path, and you have to make it possible for them to succeed. You have to do that.”

Whatever epiphany you think he had, IMO, was probably an epiphany driven by the fact he just started running for office, not an epiphany driven by fact-based enlightenment.

Also this allegation about Ted Cruz not being a citizen, I can’t tell if people are really serious anymore when they bring this up. His mother was an American citizen, her birth certificate was already released, they moved to Canada in 1967. Canadian law says you have to live in Canada for at least 5 years before you can even be eligible to become a Canadian citizen. Ted Cruz was born in 1970, 3 years after his parents moved to Canada. Because his mother at the time could be nothing other than an American citizen, Ted by default was born with American citizenship.

Also this stuff about him ‘not entering the country legally’, I mean really? As far as I remember up until 9/11, no passports or papers were required to move between Canada and the US. So yeah, it’s a ridiculous claim.

I don’t expect to change your mind, and you’re entitled to your opinion, but IMO, with a Trump presidency we might get a wall on the southern border, probably so Trump can have something to point to for the rest of his presidency. And if he gets a wall built it’d be a good thing, but also IMO, beyond the wall I think the rest of his presidency could turn into an Establishment wet dream.

Hope I’m wrong. Good luck to you.

http://blogs.cbn.com/thebrodyfile/archive/2016/02/15/ted-cruz-to-brody-file-believers-in-jesus-christ-must.aspx?mobile=false

I’ve been blown away ever since I read this article today. I’ve posted the link several places at the risk of belaboring a point. Until I read this piece, I truly thought that it was only Cruz supporters who were setting him up as the only candidate a Christian could vote for and maintain their good standing as faithful followers of Christ. But here it is in Cruz’s own words.

How can a true believer in all that Scripture teaches set himself up in such a position without being afraid, very afraid? I, personally, am afraid for him. Promoting the impression that voting for Cruz is the only “salvation” for America’s Christians is misleading the impressionable and gullible of the flock. I’m sure there will be dire consequences. I shudder for him.

Did you even read the quotes from Cruz in the article? He doesn’t say anything like ‘Hey I’m the only guy Christians should ever vote for.’

Not only that, but what exactly was false in any of the quotes of his mentioned in the article? He was merely stating fact.

Another baseless and ridiculous accusation.

But by all means, go off and ‘shudder for him’ if you must.

No I am just trying to warn you. The end is near. Donald Trump is not the Messiah. He doesn’t claim to be the Messiah, or even to be anointed by God as Ted Cruz does. If anything Donald Trump is a type of Samson and he is going to slay the Philistines and bring down their temple. If you haven’t already noticed, no weapon formed against Donald has prospered. What does that mean? It means YHWH has taken full control of this election. Read your Bible and pray.

There’s a Cruz Super Pac ad up showing Trump as a piece of ice melting away. The first thing the narrator says “Trump is extreme on abortion, even believing in partial birth abortion”, then for a split second the ad gives the reference, which was Trump’s interview with Russert 17 years ago. Cruz and and his handlers hope no one will be paying attention and not notice the date. Trump is pro-life. Another ad running says Trump wants to do away with your 2nd Amendment rights! Trump is a lifetime member of the NRA and the only candidate running with a CC permit, who’s even called for a national CC permit. I agree with Trump. I’ve never saw in my life a candidate that will completely lie about someone’s record, when it’s so easy to prove the lie. He’s gonna find out every soon he’s not as smart as he thinks he is and voters are not as dumb as he thinks they are.

So in your opinion being a supposed lifetime member of the NRA, and paying his $35/yr dues, more than makes up for the fact that he’s bankrolled the worst of the worst gun control nuts in Congress and in various State governments to the tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars?

Oh I know, but that was just ‘good business’.

Frankly, I don’t think he gives a shit about anyone elses 2nd Amendment rights, particularly if they get in the way of him ‘doing business’.

His statement was that PP does a lot of good - not the abortion stuff - and he specifically said that - but other stuff.

And his statement was dead wrong. Planned Parenthood does not do 'good'.

Well worth a read, especially for those who don’t care about researching the HISTORY of candidates. Someone else did it for you.

You missed the point(s).

The info that I discussed has been misrepresented by Trump, and by Carson both.

Those two themselves have both told lies about Cruz having allegedly lied about Carson leaving Iowa and not intending to campaign in New Hampshire and another state.

Then all along in this also, what others have done is attributed to Cruz having done so himself. Which converts whatever element of less-than flattering to Carson information there was that came out of Cruz's supporters to become converted into saying "Cruz lied" as if he did so personally and directly.

For your other assertion, the basis relied upon to keep on saying people having been sliming Cruz is more transference of what Trump, and Carson too to lesser degree were doing in their responses to the one aspect of what occurred in Iowa I was just talking about, people chiming in later in echo, sharing in with spreading disinformation about what really did happen. It's Cruz's opponents who all along had been doing the mudslinging over the Iowa Caucus, but are now blaming what they themselves are doing on Cruz's supporters. You've just done that yourself, following along the same template.

And now, the Cruz campaign is getting serious in fighting back. It's getting ugly isn't it? But not all the ugly is coming from Cruz. He called Trump a liar. Fact is, Trump has long been a course-changing, mind-changing word-breaking liar. When he's was called on it, Trump let loose with calling Cruz the worst liar he's ever met, blah, blah, blah. But that's Trump's bullying life-pattern. Remember, Cruz has long been on the receiving end of quite a lot being lied about by others, including recently verbal attacks of assorted type by Trump the man himself before turning to forceful negative campaigning in return.

Trump will say just about anything, making himself a "fair play" target. Then backtrack or move sideways, enough to give image of plausible denial if justification (regardless of how cheap and flimsy) is not readily available.

I don't know if Cruz now playing to the base, trying to milk what criticisms some DO have towards Trump's reversal and second thoughts about PP is perfectly justified, but the cause for suspending government funding to an organization that does do what PP is in the business of doing (along with whatever "good" they may do) is not without serious merit.

Personally, I would advise most any candidate to be quite careful with this subject matter. It's long been something of a third rail (high voltage).

This is different than making it out to be that Cruz is lying when what he's doing in regards to The Donald in this is more like over-simplifying where Trump now stands while stretching towards where he'd most likely end up if in office.

It's a lot easier to talk about trimming financial support for that wicked Org than it is (and would be) to have that successfully accomplished. And in this -- it's pretty much impossible to separate what PP does in realm of contraceptive assistance from providing abortion on demand, abortion becoming then as "contraception" after-the-fact. But that's where Trump has hung his hat, so to speak, and where a great number of politicians before him have also ended up. Mouthing relatively toothless opposition in order to placate abortion opponents, while taking care to not rile the supporters of having the procedure available up to and including partial-birth abortion. They may not get that last thing, and get abortion on demand well into the third trimester of a pregnancy as easily as they once did, but there is unrelenting pressure to return to it, just as there is steadfast pressure to roll availability back from the beginning of third trimester a week or a few.

Wendy Davis (she of the pink tennis shoes) flamed out in Texas and lost election in Ft. Worth to a quiet, conservative woman who did not share Wendy's "there should be no restrictions placed upon abortion" platform.

That may not play well in California, but in Texas, during the last recent elections, you could say to people who are usually disinterested in politics, the words "Abortion Barbie" and they'd almost always know exactly who that was.
