The former president remains popular among Republicans.
During his appearances on various Sunday morning political shows, Donald Trump backtracked on some comments he made about former president George W. Bush during the Republican debate the previous night.
Trump, as he has done multiple times throughout this presidential race, invoked the Iraq War as a way to criticize Jeb Bush for his brotherâs actions. âThe World Trade Center came down during your brotherâs reign, remember that,â Trump told Jeb, eliciting boos from the audience. Then regarding former president Bush starting the unpopular Iraq war, he said, âThey lied. They said there were weapons of mass destruction and there were none. And they knew there were none.â

Quote:
“I understand Americans are angry and frustrated, but we do not need someone in the Oval Office who mirrors and inflames our frustration,â the former president said as he took the stage to wild applause and cheers from the people in the crowd.
Bush also embraced the “establishment” label used to describe his brother Jeb.
“If serving as president of the United States of America makes me a part of the so-called establishment, I proudly carry that label,” George W. Bush said. He added that there was a lot of “name calling” going on in the Republican primary.”
George W. Bush is proud to be establishment. The Bushes never had a clue and it doesn’t appear they ever will. It’s time for them to fade away.
He backtracks all the time. Remember he can play whatever role he needs to play. I am sure the Code Pinkers and Jane Fondas all love his comments.
No problem. Thanks for the link...didn’t work, but thanks.
Yeah, too bad he is going to kick Cruz’s butt..lot of aliens votes and all. Enjoy losing.
“Trump....never backs down! Tells it like it is. Well....sometimes.”
And today there are reports that Trump is hinting he may not honor his vow to support the Republican nominee.
If Trump does not get the nomination I fear he will indeed walk away from that vow faster than he walked away from his several marriage vows.
Do we know what Trump is saying today about his vow to support the second amendment?
Oh, I agree. Bush should not be President anymore than Clinton.
great speech but in 2003 practically everyone was behind your Boosh.
It’s easy being a Monday morning Cindy Sheehan isn’t it.
Fact is this. THE WALL WILL NEVER BE BUILT.
I live in Texas, I know reality it will never happen.
Fact is we need to pay Texas ranchers for easement roads, quadruple the border patrol and offer bonuses for illegal captures.
Old western bounty hunters? hm
I watched, I didn’t see backtrack, he kicked Bush’s butt.
“Do we know what Trump is saying today about his vow to support the second amendment?”
Hard to tell where he stands on guns. I think he likes the shiny barrels but the handles...not so much.
I didn’t even touch on jobs under Bush.
For forty years the average increase in jobs for one four year term was about 9.8%. The average increase for two terms, about 19.75%.
Under Bush his two terms in office garnered us something in the neighborhood of 1% in new jobs. That’s 18.75% under the norm.

Fortune magazine fits you Cruzboys well, a mouthpiece of the Chamber of commerce, RAG.
I thought this thread was about the D...ump-ster? I looked for something about another ad but nothing new was in the top 20.
What’s a Cruzboy? Did I say I was voting for Cruz? I wait before making a commitment...in case my choice turns out to be a frrruitcake like Trumpy....that way I am looking at everybody. Trumpy has already been crossed off my list as he intends to fund PP because “they do a lot of good stuff” so...one down.
Cruzboy? Hmmmph. You a funny one.
It’s rather funny to watch you go the Sheehan route, you’re argument is so thin.
I will be writing an editorial touching on Bush, why I think the war in Iraq was prudent and necessary. I don’t agree with Trump there, and you jumped to the wrong conclusion.
As for the wall, I expect Trump to build it.
The people want it, and it’s going to happen.
I don’t have a problem with the bounty hunter idea. Any enhanced idea that gets the job done is fine by me.
I live in Southern California and was trying to wake others up the the evils of illegal immigration since the early 1990s.
Nobody has it worse than we do.
Could very well be. They both have dirt on each other so what can you do?
I’m surprised to say this, but I think RUSH (for the first time ever) is really disconnected from the utter disdain out there for the Bush Administration by middle class Republican voters.
Dude, I hate to break it to ya, but the FENCE/WALL whatever you want to call it will never be built.
I live in Texas, you in SC, you see the facts as I do.
THE WALL WILL NEVER BE BUILT
Keep saying it...
While it gets built.
Thanks in advance.
Please in 4 years come down here and show me where it is
Trump doesn’t flip flop. He was 100% right when he criticized Bush. He’s also 100% right in walking it back. Just like he was 100% right in supporting an assault weapons ban and how he is 100% right in opposing the assault weapons ban. Trump is always right no matter what he says.
