Trump Says He'd Consider Bill Pryor for SCOTUS, AG Who Prosecuted 'Ten Commandments' Judge
Christian News Network ^ | 2-14-16 | Heather Clark

Excerpt: Bill Pryor, the former attorney general of Alabama, prosecuted Roy Moore in 2003 over his refusal to remove a Ten Commandments monument from the rotunda of the Alabama Supreme Court. Pryor's comments to Moore during his trial focused more on Moore's refusal to stop acknowledging God as chief justice.

"[Y]our understanding is that the federal court ordered that you could not acknowledge God; isn't that right?" Pryor asked. "And if you resume your duties as chief justice after this proceeding, you will continue to acknowledge God as you have testified that you would today?"

"That's right," Moore replied.

“You might think that Bill Pryor’s ties to 1980s and ‘90s gay pornography would hurt his chances of becoming a federal judge. But Pryor’s gay-porn background actually helped him receive a lifetime appointment on the federal bench, according to our sources—plus a report from a veteran investigative journalist.”

This would be par for the ‘coarse’ for Trump.

There are people here who are neither bright nor keen observers of human behavior.

Trump made that crack about his sister in an offhanded way, as though he would really name a SCOTUS judge nearly the same age as the justice she would replace. I mean, who doesn’t always think about nominating 78 year old judges to the court, right? He said it the same way you or I would say “Sure, I’d think about naming my brother to the court, he’s great! Maybe to keep Thanksgiving peaceful. lol

Btw, his sister was named to the federal judiciary by the well known liberal, communist hack...Ronald Reagan.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Trump picked Whoopi Goldberg.

Fortunately, he’ll never be POTUS.

So FR is anti-10 Commandments now. All to accommodate Trump and his trumpbots. Nice.

Anti-Christian. Anti-10 Commandments. Anti-small government. Anti-nuke. Anti-prayer. Anti-conservative. Anti-Constitution. Anti-everything ... to accommodate Trump.

“doesn’t know enough to not rattle off names when he hasn’t really looked into it yet.”

That he talks out his you-know-what is supposed to be a point in his favor?

It’s a novel approach: my candidate is best because he doesn’t know what he’s talking about!

It probably is a winning strategy.

It’s both fun and sad to witness the collective nervous breakdown on Free Republic. We are making “Moveon.org” look
rational.

Give us a source for that.

The source was from a few months ago in an interview with Bloomberg news. I will give the link below... you will want to skip to about 15:45 in the interview to get to his issue, but feel free to watch the whole thing. It also had the section where they asked him if he had a favorite Bible verse or two he would share with the public, but he refused to quote anything.

http://www.bloomberg.com/politics/videos/2015-08-26/donald-trump-the-full-with-all-due-respect-interview

In the video Trump heaps praise on his sister (as most of us would do for a family member).. But the interesting part to me was when Trump suggested his sister "Would be One of the Best". After saying she would be great, fantastic, and even phenomenal... he took it that step further and suggested she would be one of the best of the SCOTUS. Some suggest he was just joking, but the video is there for all to view, he wasn't joking.

We all know that his sister is too old to be really considered, but if he was just wanting to be nice to his sister, well he could of stopped after calling her "phenomenal". Instead he hinted that she would be "one of the best" in as a member of the SCOTUS.

And his other candidate Ms. Sykes allowed funding for Pllanned Parenthood... very troubling pattern with Trump with our Constituional rights at stake in the Supreme Ct. I’d hate to lose the right to life, our religious freedoms and the second amendment just because some want to send a message by voting for Trump.

The Judicial review commission of the State of Alabama removed Roy Moore, and the Alabama Supreme Court agreed with that decision 8-0.

And the essential reason is that Roy Moore put his own, personal, view of Biblical Teaching ahead of the written laws of the State of Alabama.

Good for him as a man.

Bad for him as a Supreme Court Judge.

Everyone who voted for his removal did so with sorrow.

And every one of them would do it again.

Roy Moore is a showman. He would put a religious monument the size of Texas in the court if he could get funding.

Who funded him? I thought he paid for the monument out of his own pocket? Just like a person that pays for the picture frame for their family photos with their own funds.

Asking people, **How are you?** is a polite greeting. My sister doesn’t understand that, so she will reel off a 30 minute litany of all her health problems.

Donald Trump is being polite about his sister. That does not mean he would appoint the old bag to SCOTUS if he were President.

Can you show us the court decision that said that? Because I was under the assumption that Judge never did get his day in court with a final decision on the matter. He was removed from office before he could get a chance to defend his actions.

Pryor agreed with the 10 Commandments being displayed in a court room but technicalities in the law got Judge Moore convicted, but it was not for displaying the flag.

Pryor is despised by liberals. He’s a staunch pro-life Catholic, calling Roe v. Wade.

“worst abomination in the history of constitutional law.”

And speaking of Moore, he got the last laugh. Moore got his old job back. He’s once again the Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court. Moore would be my choice for the next Supreme Court Justice. No man in American is more despised by liberals. You want a clone of Scalia, put Roy Moore on the court.
