Here's another question certain to divide Americans this year: Should President Obama be allowed to appoint (and should the Senate confirm) a Supreme Court justice to replace Antonin Scalia? Should that process be delayed until after the presidential election, as Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has pledged to pursue?
"The American people should have a voice in the selection of their next Supreme Court Justice," McConnell said. "Therefore, this vacancy should not be filled until we have a new President." Several of the GOP candidates agree, including Ben Carson, Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio.

What do you think? Should Obama's choice be vetted, and if found qualified, confirmed? Are Republicans right to think the next president and Senate should make this choice? Have a say in our informal poll, and feel free to add to the conversation in the comments section.

Strategy depends on who is put up
I am so done with the GOP that I can’t even hold out any hope they will stand against this appointment.
It will be the usual folk like Graham, McCain, etc.
I agree with you.
My guy is Cruz. I’ve been supporting him for a long time; I’ve read about his court decisions; his policy papers, etc.
I think he could really do a great job getting America back on track.
My guy too.
Bush and his ilk can take a flying leap
