We're just one week away from the South Carolina primary and tonight the remaining six presidential candidates took the debate stage in Greenville to make a final push. Debate moderator John Dickerson opened the night with a moment of silence dedicated to Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, who died earlier today after serving for three decades on the high court.
The debate, hosted by CBS News, was certainly the most entertaining of the cycle with candidates repeatedly going after each other with an audience that loudly booed throughout the night.(snip)
2) Trump said Planned Parenthood does "many wonderful things for women's health" while trying at the same time to dismiss abortion. Keep in mind Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards makes this same argument in order to keep $500 million in taxpayer funding each year. The abortion giant repeatedly claims it only uses taxpayer money for women's health, not for abortion, ignoring the fact that money is fungible. Trump made that argument for Planned Parenthood tonight from the Republican, pro-life debate stage. There's also this:

So, I suppose this means that you’re against birth control too? This must mean that you’re against social services for welfare mother’s and families? Donald Trump didn’t defend abortion. Why is it that Trump haters insist on trying to circumvent and change what he really says. Trump’s idea is to change Planned Parenthood to an organization that lives up to it’s name instead of just wiping out the whole structure. Even Trump’s straightforward plain speech is just too hard to understand for those whose perceptions are intractable.
If you think Cruz is going to wave his wand and abolish Planned Parenthood, abortion, gay marriage and the like, then you are delusional and “Cruzin’ for a bruisin’.” I hate to see anyone put their hopes and trust into something that will never be. I’ve been there, done that.
I have a hard time understanding how anyone can’t understand the difference between saving an innocent life and putting to death a murderer.
Pro lifers, I prefer anti abortion, are not “Pro War”. Most are for war when it is necessary.
So Trump, with the best people, great people, who win all the time, who get tired of wining they win so much, can’t think of a better way to fund women’s health care that to give hundreds of millions to the ultra-libs who run PP?
Is this the change you’re hoping for?
Man, that is the truth right there!
The logical consistency comes on the commandment being read as "Thou shalt not murder," so abortion becomes murder, taking the life of an innocent without sufficient justification. There are plenty other than Catholics who have coherent position on this, and even a good number of non-religious people, atheists and agnostics.
I do marvel at how people believe the president sets social policy, or even legislates.
If you’re idea of a man is a loud mouthed, self promoting, wife cheating, blowhard, than I guess Trump is a “man”.
Your forgot old, liberal, democrat, casino operator, spoiled little rich kid.
You are still inconsistent. Did Jesus advocate the death penalty, or did he advocate something else?
Also, the ability of the state to misuse the death penalty is real. I am not by any means a leftist, but when they find out that someone is on death row for murder and they are innocent, it should at least give you pause, don’t you think?
Necessary wars. Aye, there is the rub.
If you err, err on the side of life in all cases, because death is irreversible as of this writing. That is my opinion anyway.
Just the kind of guy I want as Head Politician.
He will get sh*t done.
There is what The Mouth of Manhattan says................. And then there is what the Mouth of Manhattan does!
Trump saying he’s for Planned Parenthood’s “good aspects” like the ‘womens health’ canard is like saying he’s wants healthcare (for all) or “people will die in the streets.
He’s pro-abortion and okay with taxpayer funding to pay for it. Both are LIEberal positions.
Concurring bump...I've noticed that as well.
Perhaps we should be a little more upset at a sitting Congress who actually and knowingly funded PP, eh? Just a thought.
Of course not. I just don't trust groups like PP who sell baby parts to provide these services and definitely don't support federal funds going to a group which has no moral compass whatsoever.
LOL! Defends PP and reveals himself to be a 9/11 Dem “truther.” But heck, his fans don’t care. He’s an entertainer and he knows that.
He himself doesn’t know what he’s going to say until it rolls out of his mouth, usually flecked with spittle and shouted above the other people in the conversation. Still, as he said, he could shoot somebody on 5th Ave and his fans wouldn’t care, and as Ann Coulter said, he could perform an abortion live on the White House lawn and she wouldn’t care.
Otherwise, you become balkanized and your opponents run the table. The Founding Fathers knew that the colonies would have to focus on their similarities rather than their differences if they were going to have any chance to gain independence.
Those who sow dissent are simply doing the work of our enemies.
There is no such thing as a "full quote" from Trump because he only speaks in rambling, stream-of-consciousness paragraphs.
Nice graphs but you know that if Trump was running for the
socialist/democrat nomination he would be just as high in
the polls and he probably wouldn’t have to change his stump
speech much.
False headline. SOS different day.
âIt does do wonderful things but not as it relates to abortion,â Trump asserted. âExcuse me. Excuse me, there are wonderful things having to do with womenâs healthâ¦But not when it comes to abortion.â
How’s that beam in your own eye these days?
