It’s not every day that anti-war groups find themselves cheering on leading Republican presidential candidates. But, then again, this hasn’t been a presidential campaign that’s stuck to the script.
The morning after he called the Iraq War a huge misstep and argued that President George W. Bush lied to get the country into it, Donald Trump has earned praise from, of all places, Code Pink, the group best known for protesting the Iraq War and subsequent military interventions.
“I watched the debate last night and LOVED IT,†Code Pink co-founder Medea Benjamin said in an email.

If one is willing to compromise the entire notion of Conservatism for the possibility of a victory then as Benjamin Franklin once said;
“Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.”

Substituting “lies” for “distortions” rather than simply answering a specific request for a single example after pointing out that a) you attacked my handle with a rhyme (thinker/kneejerker), appealed to Lucifer, and most telling was your revelation that “liberals are right sometimes.” I again offer you the opportunity to discuss or debate the Iraq War as well as foreign policy during either Bush 43 or Obama’s terms. Hopefully you can just acknowledge the error on your part so we can move on to what I expect will be Cruz’ nomination and campaign against Hillary who will suffer from a bitterly divided Democrat Party with Sanders insurgents.
You truly need to educate yourself about Bush and the Iraqi War. In fact, the Demoncrats in the Senate voted to go to war, so, now, we have information that it was all a sham. Bush did a good job of selling the kool aid and we all drank it. A lot of Republican’s, including me - share Trump’s view of the war in Iraq.

If even conservatism violates truth, it has become rubble.
Maybe because the right stubbornly hung onto things that were hard to defend on the basis of truth, they discredited themselves.
The war itself may or may not have been just. I was just a little teenage brat playing with my YuGiOh cards at the time, so I’m going to keep my mouth shut about that.
The rollout seems to have been an absolute disaster. Our soldiers were thrown into a war with no objective for winning and hamstrung by regs to boot.
Politics makes unlikely bedfellows, it seems. They hated the war because they’re a bunch of Muslim-loving communists who despise all things not super-left. The rest of us that you are so snottily dismissing don’t like what the war turned into because we’re Americans and hate our brave young men getting killed for political points.

And I mean it... truth is the only anchor we can absolutely count upon. Everything else must be measured by it. We can’t be having the funhouse mirror du jour just because it has “Conservative” written upon it.
The left does not have the handicap of truth because it never really claimed it. It is all feelings.
I fear that what had been the right is also indulging now in its own set of feelings, though different feelings than the left is.
We already wished an unstable situation on them. Obama chose to do less to prop that up.
TRUMP is a snake oil salesman.. I too would have never believed this had I been told that Conservatives would cave.
We have been accepting globalist establishment politicians because they use the label “conservative”. They still use the word conservative even after they have been exposed as frauds. The “conservatives” have a belief that does not accept borders or nationhood and are embarrassed by Americans who care about such values. We are in the process of deciding just what conservatism really is.

Well it ought to embrace facts and truth, and unabashedly take a Judeo-Christian stance with respect to values.
