Trump Dominates Debate On Twitter

The real estate mogul is responsible for 40 percent of the conversation during the CBS debate from Greenville, S.C., according to data obtained from Twitter. Jeb Bush accounted for 20 percent of the conversation, followed by Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) at 14 percent, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) at 13 percent, Ben Carson at 8 percent and Ohio Gov. John Kasich (R) at 5 percent.

...

Trump also gained the most Twitter followers of all presidential candidates, followed by Rubio, Kasich, Democratic contender Hillary Clinton who wasn't on stage, and Ted Cruz.

...

The top three moments on Twitter all centered around the social media-savvy Trump.

The most tweeted moment was Trump calling Jeb Bush "so weak on illegal immigration that it's laughable."

The next most-tweeted moment happened during the back and forth between Trump and Cruz over their conservative credentials. "You are the single biggest liar," Trump yelled at the Texas senator.

The third biggest moment was Trump's criticism of the George W. Bush administration and 9/11. Jeb Bush defended his brother's record, saying he kept the U.S. safe.

But Trump fired back. "How did he keep us safe when the World Trade Center went down?"

Court system is not there to make the law, only to interpret it.

A 5 to 4 vote in the SC could interpret the 2nd Amend to mean that there is no individual right to keep and bear arms.

That is a fact.

Actually you are wrong on this. That issue has been decided in Heller, and not matter how the libs dance and shake, they can never get around it.

Even Sotomayer and Kagan will not go back on an already-decided issue.

Now they may limit the arms available, etc., but the basic right will remain.

Bush has been in office for 8 months. It takes a year or more to get an administration filled staffed with political appointees
Bullshit!

How long did it take to create, house, staff, fund, etc. an entirely new (Homeland Security) bureaucracy?...

BTW just the title, "Homeland Security" makes me want to gag.

BTW, If I remember correctly he kept most if not all of Clinton's bureaucrats on for the duration of his term(s).

Looks Luke trump lost ground during the debate. He was at 68% 5minutes into the debate. That “ooll” is only useful for showing the fervor of a dedicated few.

The rules for the politically power and extremely wealthy aren't the same...

Trump will do what trump wants to do and will not feel beholden to anything he says today.

Your guess is that he means it all. I respect that.

Mine is that he says whatever he needs to to win. His history shows that.

He's never had to vote publicly for or against anything. All we have is his history and knowledge of whom he's supported in the past and that is not pretty.

His statements about Bush and planned parenthood should cause everyone to reassess their support.

The president can't end abortion, but he can help fund planned parenthood.

RobbyS, thank you very much! I have been wondering about all these grandiose plans for the first day in office. If you’ve ever been in a new job and a new office, there is a lot of “stuff” you have to do to get it up and running. The “first one hundred days” makes more sense.

MUST ADD TO YOUR INVALUABLE LIST:

Bush estimated the Iraq strike would cost $50-60 billion.......then an angry Bush fired advisor Larry Lindsey because Lindsay dared to say the war might cost more like $100 billion.

That was in 2007 dollars.

FAST FORWARD TO TODAY Iraq and Afghanistan today have cost the US some $3 TRILLION....and rivers of young blood.

We/re still pouring US tax dollars into those decrepit Mideast countries, and..... as Donald says....we got NOTHING in return.

.......the biggest mistake GWB made was that he did not understand the Mideast mindset. We were supposed to show them the virtue of democracy and get all warm and cuddly inside as they embraced it...... Hell, they did not even embrace us as liberators.

The US never figured out to this day, that the area needed strongmen like Saddam and Khadafi to contain these people....now marauding all over Europe....and coming here.

The indigenous people saw the money-making opportunities of a superpower in their mindset, and the US stupidly let them pick our pockets.

The US gamely decided to "train" these people.... it took five years and billions of dollars to get 4-5 of them ready for combat. They/re now using billions in abandoned US war materiel against us.

The war profiteering was so humongous, the WSJ announced neocon godfather Richard Perle (conveniently based in Paris) was starting his own oil company. Afghanistan/s Kharzi was seen loading billions of US dollars into a truck to send abroad.

Kudos for posting this.
