Donald Trump is crushing the Republican field in South Carolina, more than doubling his closest competitor ahead of the primary on Feb. 20, according to a new poll.
Trump laps the field with 34.5 percent support in the South Carolina House Republican Caucus poll, followed by Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) with 15.5 percent support, former Florida governor Jeb Bush with 13 percent support, and Sen. Marco Rubio with 12.5 percent support.
Trump leads among Republicans of all ideological stripes, winning pluralities of self-identified conservatives, moderates, independents and libertarians.

I’m thinking Trump could actually take all 50 states.
That close?
I call BS on this
Yes, the South Carolina Republican Caucus has a vested interest in skewing their polls in favor of Donald Trump.
LOL
you mean in the generals? i’m gonna completely step out of my Cruz shoes and be impartial on this statement.
I dont see any NYers or NJ dems switching. I just dont
Independents, he could definitely win over.
but you guys, come on, remember what dms vote for, abortion and free stuff. and gay and transgender rights.
there’s no dem army coming to the rescue. And we dont need them!
if there were that many dems, he wwould be up 8 on hillary instead of 3.
PA, Ohio, Florida, W Virginia? yeah, those he could grab.
but please let’s not count on CA, NY, and NJ. it’s not worth the money, time or ground game.
There was a much better poll posted on Facebook.
He doesn’t need all fifty. I just wouldn’t be surprised if he got them.
I prefer Cruz, but I’ll take Trump. Either one of them works for me.
Cruz is a true conservative, but Trump will stop the illegal immigration. If we don’t do that, none of the rest will matter.
Trump is polling higher in SC than he was in NH.
And again there is a three way tie for second place, meaning those guys will go after eachother while Trump cruizes to victory.
At one time I was doing a mini-lean towards Trump because I thought he might do better in the general.
I’ve totally changed my mind on that.
Cruz is not only the better candidate but I think he would do much better in the general.
If you want a liberal, why take the semi-liberal Trump when you could get Bernie or Hillary?
Cruz is in the sour spot spiritually, I hate to say it. The bible calls it having a form of religion, but denying its power.
Sample size is large 1,200. MOE should be around +-2.5%.
Amen to that last statement.
Well, there was Iowa...

I am a Cruz supporter, but it does seems like he was very disliked at every point in his life. I dont get that.
I will vote for Ted in the april 16, NY primaries. Turns out all my arguments are for nothing as the RINOs lead here. That shouldn’t have been a shock to me
He might get 49 in a landslide, but he ain’t getting Massachusetts.

As a Trump supporter, I appreciate your attempt to be impartial. Here’s why I think you might be wrong. LOTS of people in the NE are supporting Bernie Sanders. So far, they’ve seen Hillary “win” Iowa by winning six consecutive coin tosses, then end up with more delegates in New Hampshire - even though Bernie cleaned her clock. If she-who-unfortunately-must-be-named wins the Democratic nomination, you’re going to have a whole bunch of democrats who were counting on voting for “the outsider” (even though Bernie doesn’t fit that definition - but since when did logic mean anything to liberals?). They’re going to be SO pissed off they won’t vote for Hillary, and might very well vote for Trump as a second choice.
