What a difference a primary makes. After a one-week drop following Donald Trumpâs second-place finish in the Iowa caucus, expectations that the New York businessman will be the Republican presidential nominee have jumped back to their highest levels.
Rasmussen Reportsâ latest Trump Change survey, the first since Trumpâs big win in the New Hampshire primary on Tuesday, finds that 74% of Likely Republican Voters again feel he is likely to be the GOP nominee. This includes 40% who say itâs Very Likely, tying the high first reached three weeks ago.
Last week, 61% of Republicans still believed Trump was the likely nominee, but that was down from a high of 74% the week before.
Twenty-one percent (21%) of GOP voters say Trump is not likely to win the nomination, but that includes only six percent (6%) who feel itâs Not At All Likely. Those findings were up to 36% and 14% respectively a week ago. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
When Trump announced his candidacy in mid-June of last year, however, just 27% of Republicans â and 23% of all voters â said he was likely to end up as the 2016 GOP nominee.
Among all likely voters, 60% now think Trump is likely to be the Republican standard-bearer. Thatâs up from 52% in the previous survey but still short of the high of 63% reached two weeks ago. Thirty-three percent (33%) believe Trump will not be the nominee. These findings include 26% who say it is Very Likely that he will win the nomination and 12% who say itâs Not At All Likely.

Donald Trump emphasizes jobs and rebooting the economy, which President Obama has been trying to destroy. He has massive support among trade unionists who are mostly Democrats, so the above percentages do not tell the whole story nationwide.
God Bless Donald Trump and the United States of America. Finally America will get the right nominee after 30 years.
What? Just because he’s ahead in the polls?
WOOHOO!!! GO.TRUMP.GO!!!
Totally agree. The Cruz fans are so desperate. They know they are behind a loser but can’t bring themselves into reality. It is sad to see otherwise decent people being so dumb. I feel sorry for them. The fall is going to be hard for them. I was for Santorum in 2012 and when he dropped out it was terrible but I was not suicidal over it. Cruz people will be suicidal when he falls on his butt. It will be a sad scene around here.
Cruzing to Lose
Unfortunately.
How many will stay home instead?
A year ago, he was already in front of the mirror practicing his acceptance speech and gliding across the stage in his tiara.
If any right-wing voter stays home on Election Day this year they deserve to be shot in the head.

There were 12500 watching the RSB live stream.
It’s a very culty following with the die-hards.
It’s pretty funny, all over FR I see countless Trump supporters who don’t necessarily like Cruz, but freely volunteer that they’ll for sure vote Cruz if he wins, but on the flipside there are dozens of zealots who are all “Trump is a dem” and “Trump isn’t conservative” and “I’ll never vote for Trump” or “I’ll vote for Hillary instead”.
And then of course they engage in the epic projection of calling Trump supporters mindless zombies. LOL
I think we’ll need the suicide hotline frontpaged for a couple of days after Cruz inevitably drops out.
Unfortunately, Trump is a fraud.
If he achieved little of what he promises that wouldn’t be so bad, but unfortunately most of what he will attempt is the diametric opposite of what he proposes.
A Trump Administration will be virtually indistinguishable from a Sanders Administration.
Prepare to be very, very disappointed.
Yes, it is almost as if Cruz supporters are desperate because they know they have so little time left. Oh! Wait! That was Satan! Sorry! Never mind! Carry on!
i think that too.
doesn’t take a genius to look at the state by state polls.
he will likely be the nominee.
then where will be no more reason to fight!!! :)
How many will find their secret paychecks to trash all other candidates disapear?
I have my doubts about these hard core Cruz supporters, they have to be getting money to do what they do, hey a mom here and there has to feed the kids, right?
We see these ads about making money at home on facebook, sure....just make yourself at home on very popular forums and never ever back down supporting Cruz, 24/7.
They must be nice people, fell on hard times, behind on a few payments....
We forgive you.
And you know this, because ....??
Go Trump!
