Proof in debate transcripts at link.
What you’ve outlined is Ted Cruz’s plan for repealing and replacing Obamacare. Trump has said the same thing too sure (privatizing it making it available across state lines, HSAs, etc) the problem (for Trump supporters) is that Trump has ALSO said “the government will pay” (he said that last September). That’s just a fact no one can deny without being a fool.
Cruz has ALWAYS said what he’s said about his healthcare plans. Trump has not. This fact proves Cruz didn’t “lie” about Trump. Sure Trump said what Coulter quoted him as saying but he’s ALSO said the “government will pay”. Again that’s just a fact. Don’t be a fool.
Or be as honest as some other Trump fans on this thread and just admit that you only support him because of his immigration stance. That’s the only thing anyone can reasonably say he’s been consistent on (and even that is only “consistent” if you don’t look past this election!). But go ahead and admit that’s the reason you support him it’d be honest at least. But don’t give me this “anti-intellectual honesty” crap that started off this thread. It’s actually intellectually dishonest to say TRUMP has been consistent on his Obamacare plans.
Go ahead admit that’s the reason you support Trump (for his illegal immigration policy). That and pure simplistic populism. At least you’ll be intellectually honest.
“Ann who?”
Pretty sure it’s the tranny who supported Romney. Said he was huuuuuuge.
Wow, that is exactly what Trump has been saying. Practically word for word.
Brilliant Sleaze. There’s a new one. LOL!
Shucks and you aren’t in Raleigh
“but he’s ALSO said the “government will pay”. Again that’s just a fact.”
This isn’t rocket science when context is applied.
Trump - “What I’d like to see is a private system without the artificial lines around every state.”
That is private HC insurance like 75% of us had before Obamacare. What’s wrong with that??
And he wants the 25% the rest of us are paying for now to still be covered even if the government pays for it. The government (the rest of us) pays for most of them now through welfare.
Now do you advocate that 25% pay for their own HC? If yes, how do you propose to make them pay for it?? Do you have any workable solutions??
OK...just saw this
I support Trump and will vote for him, however, I admit that that is a pretty good argument. Lol!
Your method is not one suited to persuasion, only to make the discourse on FreeRepublic more toxic. If you actually want people to support your candidate, please consider a different approach, perhaps one that allows for the idea that you yourself may have been as misled as you claim us to be.
Trump will do or say anything to try and get the office that he is not qualified for.
I like how you left out the Part D expansion and saving dead people from dying on the streets.........same thing Bernie says.
Back when I listened to the mouth, he love to tell about how he would get out of physical labor... yes he is lazy, he could not keep up with Trump
I am so glad you asked me why I am not running for President.... I am NOT a 'natural born' US citizen. I was born to TWO US citizen parents, but I was born in Germany, NOT born in the USA. I have known what a 'natural born' US citizen is, longer than Cruz took his first breath in Canada. Cruz knows darn well he is NOT eligible to hold the office of president, but the lawyer in him just cannot resist the temptation to LIE to a nation.
I do not have any desire to 'talk' for a living. I raised three children. Now they are out being productive adults I have a bit of my time.
It’s not about me or my statements. It’s about bhat ted said on Fox and the transcripts of what Trump said.
I already asked you, how would you make those people pay? Or would you let them die in the streets?
How many times did Trump claim Cruz wasn’t eligible to be president to get people to not vote for Cruz? Think that might have a wider effect than (legal) shaming letters and taking advantage of a massive mistake on the part of the Carson campaign?
You already have your answer - it’s called Medicare/Medicaid.
The rub is paying only for those who need it, not those who want to take advantage of it. You can’t do that if you propose expanding it. The very “non-Republican” thing Trump thinks needs to be done.
Me: “but [Trump] ALSO said the “government will pay”. Again that’s just a fact.”
You: “This isn’t rocket science when context is applied.
Trump - ‘’What I’d like to see is a private system without the artificial lines around every state.’”
That’s not the context at all! Talk about “lying”, look at the video posted (inadvertently) by Ann, the one UNDER the one she talks about. On that video you see Trump on CBS say “the government will pay” when asked “who will pay (for all those who can’t pay for private insurance)”. Here: http://m.therightscoop.com/watch-ted-cruz-highlights-trumps-very-liberal-record-on-the-kelly-file/
He mentions something about “we will save so much money on the other end” so that somehow justifies his “government will pay”’comment. There’s nothing about what you posted. What you posted is from another source another time. Which is again, TYPICAL of Trump. One time says one thing, one time says another.
Just admit it! You only support him for how he’s talked about illegal immigration. Admit it! What’s the problem? Don’t like wallowing in such shallow simplicity? Your fellow Trump fans on this thread don’t seem to have such compunctions.
You Trump supporters always do such a nice job of explaining Trump’s own words to us. Like a Mommy explains to the neighbors what her 6 year old really meant. There are 3 possibilities for why Trump speaks with such ridiculous vagary and contradiction: 1) He thinks his supporters aren’t smart enough to notice, or 2) He thinks his supporters will notice but are so blind in their devotion they will take on the task of explaining away the lack of detail and consistency for him or, 3) He just isn’t that bright himself. Which do you think it is?
At 25% Is he really “proposing expanding it”?
