Thursday, February 11, 2016: GOP Presidential candidate Donald Trump will hold a campaign rally in Baton Rouge, LA at the Baton Rouge River Center. The event is scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM CST.
As the "Capital City", Baton Rouge is the political hub for Louisiana, and is the second-largest metropolitan city in the state, with an estimated population of 228,895 as of 2014. The metropolitan area surrounding the city, known as Greater Baton Rouge, had a population of 820,159 people as of 2013.The urban area has around 594,309 inhabitants.
HOW DID BATON ROUGE GET ITS NAME?
The French name le baton rouge ("the red stick") is the translation of a native term rendered as Istrouma, possibly a corruption of the Choctaw iti humma ("red pole") Andre Joseph Penicaut, a carpenter traveling with d'Iberville, published the first full-length account of the expedition in 1723. According to Penicaut,
"From there [Manchacq] we went five leagues higher and found very high banks called ecorts in that region, and in savage called Istrouma which means red stick [baton rouge], as at this place there is a post painted red that the savages have sunk there to mark the land line between the two nations, namely: the land of the Bayagoulas which they were leaving and the land of another nation—thirty leagues upstream from the baton rouge named the Oumas."

I think you have to have some intimidation factor with the media.
To be fair, the most intimidating politician with the media is Obama. He picks his interviews and his questions, then chastises anyone who crosses him. He’s worse than Carter in that regard.
Trump, gives interviews to all stations, all interviewers unless they have some hidden agenda which is obvious, as in the Kelly Megyn thing. Her agenda is to make debate about her.

Speaking of focus groups, I saw a replay of one this morning on Morning Joe.
Ten SC evangelicals. The facilitator showed nothing positive about Trump, but showed them clips of him mouthing the F word, and saying some other questionable words. They were astonished. Some ladies might’ve clutched their pearls if they’d had them.
After that, he asked them who they were voting for. They said they thought Trump would win, but they were voting for Cruz. Reasons: In church, they were encouraged to vote for Cruz. Cruz is a Christian. The mouth breathers they chose make the rest of us evangelicals look horrible.
Well, if Cruz does win, I hope they’ll be happy with their smarmy preacher-boy president who resorted to cheating and lying to achieve his goal. I so hope the group isn’t a true indicator of the whole state’s population.
