The progressive elites will try to do to Cruz what they did to Abbott
The American mainstream media, the Republican Party establishment and the Democratic Party are determined that Ted Cruz not be sworn in as the 45th president.
Anyone with that opposition must be formidable.
That he is. Campaigning against Federal ethanol subsidies in Iowa, a major corn producing state, and against all poll predictions, Cruz defeated the media's favourite, Donald Trump, receiving more votes than any Republican candidate ever had. Cruz is the candidate most motivated by his attachment to traditional American principles. For his opponents, these are principles to which lip service only should be accorded these days. But the principles under which a Cruz administration would operate are the very ones on which the American Republic was founded.
Cruz does not merely mouth the proposition that all men have been endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, he lives by this. As Texas Solicitor General he had been one of America's most successful public constitutional lawyers, with a string of successes in the Supreme Court. Having memorised it while still a schoolboy, the Constitution remains his guide to the good governance of the Union. By this he means the Constitution according to the original intention of the Founding Fathers, not that fictional 'living organism' which is the tool of activist judges who claim it means whatever they want it to mean.

That’s very weak tea you’re brewing...Felito is a family endearment his father uses.
Actually, the fonecon was between Trump and Bill Clinton.
Now that I think of it, the fact that they spoke being in the public record, is itself interesting. If Person A calls Person B, that fact doesn't get into the public awareness unless one of them tells someone else who goes to the press with it.
Or calls the press himself.
So why would either Clinton or Trump want all of us to know that they had a heart-to-heart, before Trump announced?
I wish I knew.
I have watched the movie several times. He was an ex-professional wrestler, famous for his entertainment value who’s followers would laugh and cheer when he swore and insulted people.
Sounds pretty spot on to me.
Good luck hanging your hat on that.
But why did I hear it from this guy first? Twice or thrice?
Did he call you in as a reliever, like WWF Friday night brawling?
Not praised, deified.
Who is attacking every conservative that has a kid word to say about Trump? Sarah Palin became a money grubbing whore looking for another 15 minutes. I am pretty sure they were not Trump supporters so who are these hypocrites?
This is what I addressed about Ted:
Looks
Voice
Verbal presentation skills
Over use of emotion in his voice for emphasis
Stances on various issues
Campaign tactics
I wasn’t going to go there, but now that you mention it, Ted is not like Reagan.
I had none of these issues with Reagan.
I agree with most of what you wrote, I don’t think that the Donald is stupid, however.
All one needs do is peruse the comments here on FR. I used to enjoy the lively and substantive debate. Now it’s Trump, Trump, Trump, all day, every day.
Debate positions, policies and philosophies, not stupid media memes that have nothing to do with the FUNDAMENTAL issues facing us today. I want to see how DT will
End unborn infanticide
Return us to constitutional government
Balance the budget
Reduce/eliminate the debt
Slash regulations and regulatory agencies
Reign in uncontrolled bureaucrats
Audit the Fed
Abolish the IRS
Reclaim our armed forces from social experiments
Remember our allies
Terrorize our enemies
The list could go on, but why. DT will have a plan and it will solve all the nation’s ills. It will be so great I’ll be tired of it being so great.
I know we’re on dangerous ground when Rush and Mark Levin are now being denigrated on this site of all places.
These people would run Reagan off of here if he were running against Trump.
They want to prove that an American Evangelical Christian "true conservative" can be elected President by calling up millions and millions of non-voters, and they think they are entitled to their shot because of their own faithful voting behavior in the past.
They believe that, because they can defeat any Republican by witholding their votes (arguably true), that that must mean that if they get their way that victory is certain (definitely false).
I've had this argument dozens of times, and it always winds up that I hate Jesus or am pro-homosexual. It's not a really productive conversation.
Trump's family is classy and cultured. How does President Camacho's stack up?
Oh, so they were seen as near perfect?
“:^)
Bump. B-Movie actor. No horse-opera roles open at present, try again later. Bedtime for Bonzo II is casting, call your agent.
I think you nailed it.
ROFLMAO. Freepers of today say the darndest things. Pretty amusing.
I know what you mean and agree.
‘Sad’ is having an pathological urge to jump in and crap all over any thread with the word ‘Cruz’ in it.
The are a couple of handfuls of Freeper so afflicted.
Too bad folks can’t simply support their candidate, or at least refrain from schoolyard taunts.

You should practice what you preach. I’m sorry you have a hard time with the truth about Ted, not my problem.
(âif conservatism is your thing Cruz is your guyâ
if winning the election is your thing Trump is your guy)
If advancing the democrat agenda is your thing Trump is your guy.
Have you seen him in person? If not, do so. I had opinions about him and him being a Senator...then when I saw him and listened to him I found him to be someone I could enjoy in my home! I read his book. I LOVE his family. I feel sure he will do as he says and he will be the people’s President, not the lobbyist’s President.
The guy he ran against in TX., had he been elected he’d be wining and dining with Cornyn in DC with lobbyists. Now, I liked Mr. Dewhurst as the head of the TX. Senate, but not a national position where we have two representatives.
TED is only creepy to those who have not bothered to see him in person, IMHO.
You sound defensive. Do you think I was talking about you?
Make a 100 improvements to a home then burn it down then reassess the value of the improvements.
I can remember when Cruz Miguel Bustamante was caught for the thief that he was, there was an outcry of compassion for him because he had done so many good things.
Cruz Miguel Bustamante (born January 4, 1953) is an American politician. He was the 45th Lieutenant Governor of California, a former Speaker of the State ...
Dingy Harry is that you?
