Don't cross the boss.
That seems to be the message WWE principal owner Vince McMahon is sending to his roster in a bizarre decision about one of its superstars.
McMahon has reportedly suspended Titus O'Neil for 90 days because O'Neil playfully grabbed McMahon's arm while he was walking backstage after Daniel Bryan's retirement ceremony on this week's "Monday Night Raw."
The punishment seems stranger considering 1) the incident did not take place during the live broadcast on the USA Network and was only seen by those tuning into the WWE Network after the show, and 2) O'Neill does more charity work than almost any other WWE superstar and now this sets him up to miss WrestleMania 32 on April 3.
The incident was edited out of the version the WWE put on its official YouTube channel, but you can see it below.

That was roid rage.
I agree.
Probably a work; why would FOX or any other mainstream outlet report on this unless WWE paid the outlets to “report” this?
Like getting banned on FR, it often isn’t forever
Ya could see it in his eyes couldn’t ya?
Never gets old seeing Whoraldo smacked around!
Wow. A monetary fine for making a mistake. Of course, James Brown had achieved a very high level of professionalism.
The average listener would not think of all the discipline it probably took to qualify for and remain in a band of that caliber that did lots of live shows. Duke Ellington (always with a serene smile when on camera) was also notoriously strict and demanding of his orchestra.
OOps that was John Stossel. Wishful thinking on my part.
Actually I think that was john stossel, but hey, not really much difference right? : ^ )
Even though WWE looks like a bunch of nuts hitting each other - it is a highly choreographed spectacle. It is like a Broadway play with acrobatics. When they had that Spider-Man Broadway play those actors /stuntmen kept getting hurt. So WWE may seem lo brow but the athleticism is world class.
And especially in the WWE, O’Neil is a face and McMahon is generally the chief heel, so there’s a really good chance this is all just the start of a story line. If some new masked wrestler shows up in the next 90 days it’s O’Neil. Especially if he shows up at Wrestlemania. Even more especially if he wins the big event.
The reason that wrestler may have been so angry (besides the steroids and or drugs) is because the wrestling world was afraid if they said it was fake the audience would leave them.
McMahon gambled that he made Wrestling so big he could sell it as sports entertainment and he admitted it was scripted. It was actually a big deal when it was announced - like we learned a big secret that everyone seemed to have been in on. I was a kid at the time so I am going by memory.
Are you saying another Cliq, has emerged?
I remember my jaw dropping when JBL showed up on Cavuto....
Yeah JBL is, one smart dude Kane, aka Glenn Jacob’s is also a smart dude
he’s totally, into Austrian economics.
It could be that they're setting up an angle. Maybe another black wrestler will soon be suspended for a minor infraction, setting up a story line about Vince being a racist. (Don't discount this possibility - McMahon will do absolutely anything if he thinks the WWE can make a few bucks off of it.)
Yes, Sheamus is a part of it. That’s why he gets these championship pushes. Apparently with HHH he’s all “Can I get you a drink, can I carry your luggage, anything you need for me to get for you”.
Occam’s razor says it was all in the script.
Wow who else is part of this Cliq Cena isn’t is he?
I know the outcomes are predetermined, however, serious injury does occur.
I saw a clip of a match where the wrestler landed on one foot and the foot, instead of sliding, stuck. The wrestler’s leg broke just above the ankle.
I’ve also seen stuff that, if the timing is not spot on and the correct spot is not hit, serious injury again will occur.
For instance, I saw a guy do a backflip off the ropes and land across the body of his opponent. A little off one way or the other and the guy on the mat takes an elbow or a knee to the mid-section...or worse.
