I know the outcomes are predetermined, however, serious injury does occur.
Yes, injuries do occur, some serious. Dusty Rhodes had to retire because he was one body slam away from being paralyzed. Mick Foley had to retire after that fall from the top of the steel cage, it's a miracle he can still walk. Daniel Bryan made his retirement official due to those concussions he had. He and his wife, Bree Bella reportedly are ready to raise a family, so she most likely will pack it in. And just now it came out CM Punk needs back surgery, so his career is likely over.

Anyway, I really do not follow wrestling but I recognize athletes when I see them and those guys are athletes.
I look in on a match occasionally and it astounds me that guys that big can do some of the things they do.

I refer to it as “Cartoons with Live Actors”.
It’s pure escapism. I actually know some members of a “wrestling royalty” family, and they are definitely very interesting people.
Heels, faces, chumps and scammers, it’s all to entertain. The hits really do hurt, BTW.
