Like Donkey Kong. Ted Cruz scored a surprising third-place finish in New Hampshire in yesterday's first-in-the-nation primary, and now it looks like he's going for a knockout before South Carolina. Cruz tweeted out the campaign's latest web ad after his victory, one that takes aim at the winner, Donald Trump. The ad depicts children playing with their new "Donald Trump action figure," and says what he does most is "pretend to be a Republican"...
It's a tour de force of counter-Trump arguments. The ad manages to mention Trump's friendship with Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid (and adds in a shot at Anthony Weiner, too). Bailouts and Too Big To Fail get mentioned, but it's Trump's support for eminent domain that gets most of the attention (video):

Nope.
So you are saying it’s ok for govt to take property from individuals with compensation via ED is
OK if you allow property to go to energy corporation that in no way benefits America.
Yet
not ok if govt allows property to go to Trump corporation which benefits citizen and raises tax revenue
To recap - you are saying ED for one type of corporate use is ok and for another type of corporate use is not ok.
You do realize the ED maneuvers with Keystone are being done by private corporate interests, right?
You still haven’t made the argument why that is ok.
He needs to follow Trump’s example and run a nice campaign that’s never been nasty at all. /EPIC SARC TAG!
Take a long hike off a short pier, Trump-ocrite.
A big difference between public domain and private domain. Most conservatives side with property owners when it comes to real estate development.
“Iâve been on the fence between Cruz and Trump but I will say if I had to vote right now, today, it would be for Cruz.”
Given the fact Ted Cruz was born n Canada and cannot lawfully serve as President, his candidacy will probably fail when the voting for the general election sees ethical voters refusing to vote for either of the two leading candidates. When you look at electoral history, every such unlawful Republican candidate after 1880 has lost the election to a Democrat. The opponents of the Democrats-Marxists cannot afford to let this election be lost by default to the Democrat candidate. Whomever the Republican candidate will be, the candidate must not be an apparently unlawful candidate, whether or not a person chooses to accept the allegation the candidate is unlawful. Regardless of what some people choose to believe, the voters have the right and the power to disqualify any candidate for any reason, no matter how trivial, and contested eligibility for the office is anything but trivial.
He doesn't have to admit any of that, one way or the other. And you are going to find him to be a big, giant liberal no matter what anyway.
He can come out and lie just as much as the rest of them do, and leave it to the people to figure out the truth, or trust the press (which is a really bad tool for figuring out the truth).
You ailed The Don.
Besides there are all sorts of examples of utility rights of way that obviously skirted some properties for some reasons. Keystone has been rerouted numerous times and it's not over yet.
Not understanding the ED position of the Trump-haters.
Using Keystone pipeline as an example: Anti-Trumps say it’s ok for private corporations to use ED to build Keystone but
Not OK for private Trump corporation to use ED to buy land to enhance a business open to the public and subject to tax payments.
Not seeing the difference.
..."Now, a series of voicemails show that the Cruz campaign stopped at nothing to get the word of Carson's rumored dropout out in time before the caucuses. The voicemails say that the campaign has "breaking news" about Carson's dropping out of the race, asking voters to "inform any Carson caucus-goers of this news and urge them to caucus for Ted instead." The caller clearly claimed that Carson was dropping out:
"Hello, this is the Cruz campaign with breaking news: Dr. Ben Carson will be suspending campaigning following tonight's caucuses."..."
Only about a third of Republicans have "fallen in" behind Trump, and Trump's negatives are huge. There is rich ground to be mined in the other two thirds by Cruz.
Mocking Trump is incredibly easy to do - and very funny too!
I think Ted knows what we do. He has very little choice but to try to knock the other guy off.
What has he accomplished? There’s nothing to point to. Yes I know he argued nine cases before the SCOTUS and won two of them outright, but is that going to convince folks he’s presidential material? I don’t think so.
His goals, even if stated first, weren’t stated loudly enough for folks to realize Trump didn’t say them first.
Everything comes off sounding like “Me too Ted”, and that isn’t a winning situation for him.
I know this sounds like ripping Ted to his supporters, but in truth it’s just a reasoned analysis of his situation.
It isn’t good.
Cruz and Trump will have equal power to implement whatever they want as President.
Trump’s plans are often FAR more pie-in-the-sky, difficult to implement than most of Cruz’. Having Mexico pay for the wall? Banning all Muslims? What makes you think any President could get others to agree to that or find the exec. powers to do it?
Supporting the pipeline does not mean supporting ED abuse.
“The Keystone Pipeline is a private project.”
It is part of our National Security plan.
I’ll be sure to keep that in mind as he trounces Ted throughout the South.
{The most pitiful, childish, snarky add, Iâve ever seen.}
Exactly, it’s perfect for its target audience: most of trumps supporters
Dream on. It does no such thing.
Only the ignorant will issue the expected emotional response.
The irony is that this hostility is based on distortions that 90% of Freepers simply do not understand.
Ted Cruz will move the ball in our direction, despite the opposition. The power of the presidency will enable him to get some things done that we’ll like.
I have no faith that Trump will move the ball in the direction we want to go.
