Cruz and Trump will have equal power to implement whatever they want as President.

Trump’s plans are often FAR more pie-in-the-sky, difficult to implement than most of Cruz’. Having Mexico pay for the wall? Banning all Muslims? What makes you think any President could get others to agree to that or find the exec. powers to do it?

You are right they will have “equal power”.

BUT

Cruz will be unwilling to utilize the full power available to him, while Trump will have no such issues.

Plus, much of what Trump wants to do requires no new legislation, just the will to enforce laws already on the books.

Trump will try to use executive powers to do things like that. He said he’ll revoke 0bama’s executive orders, but “I’ll do good ones.”

IOW, he plans to give us executive rule just like 0bama.
