Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson said on the day of the New Hampshire primary that he was open to serving as vice president under another candidate, specifically saying that he would be willing to sit down and discuss it with Donald Trump.

“Stranger things have happened.”
“I feel more comfortable with Carson as VP than Cruz. Iâm worried that Cruz is so slimy heâd do an LBJ on Trump.”
What a nice thing to say, given Trump is on his third “wife”.
See how I did that, implying that Trump is a slimeball just to get a rise out of you. Just the way you imply Ted Cruz is equivalent to LBJ when he has done nothing to warrant that.
And no, the Caron kerfluffle is not sleazy. I wrote Harry Reid’s only biography and I know what political diry tricks really are. They require planning (how does one premeditate a CNN announcement). Big chunks of money have to change hands (Reid bought off Scott Ashjian and Sig Rogich for example). No money changed hands with the Carson announcement A true dirty trick has to be based on a lie, and it is abundantly clear Carson is not a serious candidate. Finally, a trick should look unique and not have te potential to boomerang, this happened all out in the open
I could go on. I could even write a book on Trump’s sleazy business deals based on propaganda. But I’m not a raving lunatic that looks at candidates and believes all the spin thrown out by other campaigns.
Ben needs to strike the tents and go away. He does not have the acumen nor the intestinal fortitude to lead. Not VP material and too weak for cabinet posts. Cruze, Rubio nor any of the rest of also ran’s are fit for the post either.
hey DT, give me a call....that is B212 on FR
trump is a deal maker and he knows that he will need the support of politicians that run the republican party so I think who ever he picks it will be some one that will signal to the establishment that he will play ball with them though they wont control him.
Hahaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
Carson is begging Trump for his reward for attacking and slandering Ted Cruz. The American people recognized his unethical dirty trick and send him to the bottom of the trash bin of New Hampshire election.
So is Carly.
So is Huckabee.
So is Santorum.
So are most of the also-rans.
Sorry, Dr Carson, Trump has already selected Oprah Winfrey.

[Nice guy and everything but he is just a nice guy.]
I would be leery of anyone whose top adviser wants to put Luis Farrakhan on the government payroll.
You are known by the company you keep.

It’s not a bad pick.
Knocks down the orgy of “racist” accusations that are now picking up.
Rubio also gets votes and Florida.
no one’s brand has been more tarnished than the Carson brand this election cycle.
Surgeon General for you.
We need THAT as much as we need Obama gone!
Re:”Carson is begging Trump for his reward for attacking and slandering Ted Cruz. The American people recognized his unethical dirty trick and send him to the bottom of the trash bin of New Hampshire election”
On the first count you are spot on. Carson is the one who so shamefully went along and exploited the narrative that Trump was screaming, but was not so much affected when Trump basically called him a child molester pervert; selective outrage. Exploiting the lies in Iowa rather than honestly acknowledging the missteps of his campaign and correcting them spoke volumes about him. Now whether he finished last because of recognition of this is open for debate. I understand New Hampshire is not exactly a bastion of values voters. Given that it would explain his poor showing since that is the myth many gullible people believe about him. Did they catch on and punish him for that? Who knows. It seems more likely that when Kasich finishes ahead of Cruz it is rather aberrant and revelatory moreso about the electorate of this tiny state which is really just a bedroom community of Boston anyway.
The article at Mediaite notes that this was in response to a question posed to him, as opposed to him offering himself up. If he had proposed himself, I honestly would have been surprised - Carson seems to have a decent sense of humility.

LOL....you posted exactly what I was thinking ;-)
Maybe director of HHS?
I’d like to see that department phased out, as well...but, for now, Doc could clean out the rats nest.
