I agree with you that his appeal skews blue collar. But his national unfavorables are very very high. And he has a huge age gap.

Just have to say Sanders is an admitted socialist and he loses the vote of very one over 50. Hillary can cheat.

My daughter went to the Bernie Sanders rally in Birmingham with friends from University of Alabama.
She texted me that there were lots of socialist there. I think Bernie is striking a chord with lots of people.
She then said she’d never vote him, and his proposals will never work.
(She had a good economics teacher whose main point was that nothing is free.)
Hillary the Liar is a loser. Millions of D’s resent having her shoved down their throats again. Bernie the Red is more credible and a much better campaigner - would be harder to beat tho a good R campaigner should be able to do it.

Can’t discount how the Left always rallies around its candidate come November - we could win a lot more if our side would consider getting out and voting instead of stamping their prissy feet because their own favorite isn’t on the final ballot.
Bloomturd has been making noises about running for President. He'd have no trouble raising funds ... he doesn't need to.
The GOP would have to screw up big time to lose to the Kenyan Kommunist Klown.
There is no comparison, we may not like Obama, but he had a lot of appeal to a lot of mainstream voters and just as importantly, the big dem money people. Sanders does not. He has little appeal to anyone who isn’t already an automatic dem voter and there is little cause to think he could turn out Blacks like Obama did. Don’t be too afraid of the “young people love him” thing, the shallow support of unreliable voters.
His insane platform would need a much prettier package to have a real chance. Obama ran on “hope and change” and “Bush sucks”, not as an unreconstructed Stalinist. And he (Obama) had no real record, a short stint as a legislator. Bern has 25 years of insane votes and statements.
The DNC is gonna stop at nothing to keep him from getting the nom, cause they know he’s a loser.
