In a letter disclosed Monday in a federal court filing, the FBI confirms one of the world*s worst-kept secrets: It is looking into Hillary Clinton*s use of a private email server.
Why say this at all, since it was widely known to be true? Because in August in response to a judge*s direction, the State Department asked the FBI for information about what it was up to. Sorry, the FBI said at the time, we can neither confirm nor deny the existence of any investigation.

We’ve only known this for months.
There was an earlier admission of this, or something very close to it.
MSNBC probably only had on their site for a few minutes and then destroyed the links to the article, or whatever computer geeks do to hide info on websites.
Holder’s twin sister will not prosecute, regardless of whatever the FBI comes up with
Holderâs twin sister will not prosecute ?
I thought it was Holder in drag
Full of sound and fury, signifying nothing...
The FBI doesn’t investigate inanimate objects
Thank you for your post
Are they going to file charges, and if so, will they let the server post bond ?
Ah, this is just a security review. </s>
There. Fixed it.
Hillary's server does not do anything it wasn't set up for by Hillary. It is an inanimate object. The headline is more like Ted Kennedy's car is being investigated for being wet.
In order to understand this statement, it needs to be parsed, as we need to do in all Clinton scandals.
"This is a security review.." What is "this"? Is "this" an FBI probe, an investigation by the State Department IG, or a DoJ investigation?
"...that was requested..." Who requested the "security review"? Hillary herself? The DoJ? The FBI? The State Department? Any number of intelligence organizations? What Federal agency does a "security review"?
"....it is being carried out..." What is "it"? Is "it" a formal investigation? Who is carrying "it" out? Specifically, what Federal agencies or Legislative entities are carrying out something along the lines of a "security review"?
"....it will be resolved...." Again, what is "it", how will "it" be "resolved", and what is the final product to demonstrate that "it" is "resolved"? Could "resolved" mean convening a Federal Grand Jury, or selecting a special prosecutor, or going to trial, or getting a conviction, or sentencing someone for a crime?
Where are the so-called investigative reporters who exercise their precious intellectual curiosity? ::::CRICKETS:::: Paging Bob Woodward - come out of your coma and look into this!
Let's not confuse the ephemeral of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy with the actual breaking of laws.
"This is a security review that was requested, it is being carried out, it will be resolved." Who or what is the basis of Hillary's emphatic declaration? How does she know this?
The news is not the investigation.
The news is confirmation of such glaring clarity that even MSNBC has to cover it.
And all this time Hillary said it was a review and they were investigating her server, not her.
What? What the h e double hockey sticks have you goons been doing up until this time?
And they’re expected to complete their investigation in approximately 25-30 years. It’ll take them another 10 years to prepare their report and hand it to the DOJ.
The FBI has been investigating things now they are ready for the target letters.
The FBI don’t do security reviews. They do criminal investigations and this one just shifted gears.
