"He said he's sorry that this happened and he wants to sit down and talk," Carson said in an interview with The Washington Post. "He wants to discuss the whole thing and clear the air."
"To be determined," Carson said when asked where they may meet. "Doesn't matter."
The Carson campaign has been critical of Cruz after his campaign spread false rumors during the Iowa caucus, and sent voicemails to Iowa precinct captains suggestings that Carson was dropping out of the race.

His lies were public, so should be his apology.
Doctor Carson has more important things to do I am sure.
Exactly right.
That is the bottom line of this. How many times will Cruz attempt to tell Carson he is sorry for something he had no control over? How many pounds of flesh will Carson demand after this meeting, I suspect Carson is not through with this, gets him air time as taught by Trump?
That is what I suspect. Trump has such great concern for Ben.
Beats me........
I think they’re creating their own false narratives because they support Trump (and somehow I guess supporting Trump means one has to hate Cruz, illogically), and instead of arguing the facts of WHY they support Trump, it’s an easy (false) attack against Cruz they figure might ‘stick’ politically.
It really is devious, but I never thought I’d see it so prominently from supposed ‘Conservatives’.

I would say "dad you didn't do it".
He would say "No., but I am sorry you got hurt".
That is what Christians say to each other when they are sad, hurt or grieving. It is a comfort word as well as an apology.
I would conclude that Ben Carson is out shopping for the best deal he can make with whatever candidate will offer it to him, yes indeed he is out shopping. (there is a joke in there, ending with "we just have to establish the price").
And Cruz is becoming Tom Brady?
He wants to steal the rest of Ben’s voters. Ted will tell his NH and SC ground game that Ben told him personally that he’s dropping out.
By using false pretenses that Carson was dropping out. There’s a difference in convincing people to vote for a different candidate and using unconfirmed rumors, tantamount to lying, to get people to change their position. No, politics isn’t beanbag, but it sure makes somone who uses their faith to connect with people look very, very hypocritical. And to still be asking for a private meeting reeks of guilt. Just another slimy politician.
Please...on national TV he apologized, not for the fact it happened to Ben, because his campaign was involved. And if that were the case, why the request for the private meeting after he already said he was “sorry” it happened to Ben?
-— just as the CNN debunking of his lies shows. -—
The Cruz campaign repeated the CNN report verbatim.
-— People have heard Cruz isn’t a citizen since back a few year ago when FOX news reported Ted wasn’t eligible. -—
Someone should tell Trump because he’s considering Cruz for VP.
Don’t forget the macy’s float who claims he’s not washington politics but then closes down a bridge and says he found out about it on the news.
I have heard Trump say that he will not make any public statement about VP until he’s the nominated R candidate.
I am also sure that he will not choose any current politician, especially Cruz.
LOL!
“What fraud?”
“Who?”
“Muh...Me?”
“Huh?”
Good work, TBP.
“Look over there....”
Beer Summit.
Still waiting on that quote from Cruz.
What quote?
