Ben Carson said late Saturday that Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas approached him during an off-camera break at ABC’s Republican debate to apologize for his campaign’s conduct during the Iowa caucuses and requested a one-on-one meeting with him.
“He said he’s sorry that this happened and he wants to sit down and talk,†Carson said in an interview with The Washington Post. “He wants to discuss the whole thing and clear the air.â€
In the interview, Carson said pointedly that if the meeting with Cruz is scheduled, that does not mean the the senator will be absolved.
“The evidence is there,†he said, citing voice-mails that his campaign has released of Cruz allies telling caucus-goers that Carson was likely to suspend his bid. “Tapes, written communications, it’s all out there. People have to decide whether this kind of behavior is acceptable to them.â€

Had Cruz admitted the mistake and had the staffer “resign” this issue would be over. Unfortunately, debate champion Cruz has to “win” every issue. This whole kerfuffle reminds of his argumentative beltway theater performances.
And you have to be actively engaged in shock treatment therapy to believe that’s all camp Cruz did.

Once again, pleas explain to us how Trump was responsible for what the Cruz campaign did to Carson?
Carson’s behavior, playing the victim, has grown tiresome. If this is his plan to stay in the race, its pretty pathetic.
For someone who continues to tell us how righteous he is, Carson sure has a hard time with forgiveness, especially when Cruz has apologized even when it was unnecessary.

Its a caucus, precinct captains aren’t silent observers. The goal is to win. All news is fair game.

Look for Carson to drop out this week and stab the only conservative in the race a few more times in a petulant frenzy.

Trump is no angel. Just calling attention that he is the reason Carson’s poll numbers dropped. Cruz has nothing to do with him not winning the Iowa caucus.

There are no angels in politics.
It’s my understanding Carson wanted the ones spreading the rumors fired from the Cruz campaign. In all fairness, I would be pissed to if Cruz apologized but didn’t come down hard on those who are guilty. I think the rumor probably pushed many Rubio’s way.
Anyone that believes Cruz is begging Carson is a fool
