Chris Christie accused Marco Rubio of being an empty suit, a dilettante who repeats the same memorized speech over and over.
Rubio's response: the same memorized speech.
For a minute or so on Saturday night, the Republican golden boy seemed like a malfunctioning robot. Delivering the same confusing line four separate times -- Barack Obama, he said, "knows exactly what he's doing" -- Rubio proved the precise point Christie was trying to make.
"There it is," Christie said, triumphant. "There it is, everybody."
The Republican debate was held three days before the New Hampshire primary in which national front-runner Donald Trump has held a big lead for months. As usual, Trump went largely unchallenged by a field of rivals who see little upside in incurring his wrath. But Rubio, the Florida senator and establishment favourite who had been rising in the polls, may have suffered his worst moment of the whole campaign.
Christie was arguing that first-term senators like Rubio and Barack Obama, are not equipped to lead the country. Rubio, in response, was trying to explain that Obama has been effective in taking the country in the wrong direction. He ended up sounding like a pro-Obama automaton, essentially creating a ready-made attack ad against himself.
The timing is especially bad for him. Rubio and three current or former governors -- New Jersey's Christie, Florida's Jeb Bush and Ohio's John Kasich -- are waging a ferocious competition for second place in New Hampshire, a result that would give Rubio much-needed momentum or allow one of the governors to stay in the race. >

LOL
I believe if nominated he will be the most conservative nominee the republicans have had since Ronald Reagan. By the why Rush agrees with me.

You answered that.
So are you a supporter of amnesty and in-state tuition for illegals as well?
Otoh, could also just be some last minute beta software testing post-Iowa, you know, before the show really gets going?
Personally, don't know/don't care, just speculating.
But...until they can check that hick-up and the temp and water issues off the Field Test hot sheet, or get someone high up the foo(d)chain to sign-off on the workarounds, no way that passes final test and inspection.
I can see why they all like it and spent the R&D on it, but I sorry, there's still some work left to do on the Rubio series.
I don’t care if Rush likes him. Rubio is a liar and fraud.
I like how you posted the same thing 3 times! It was very Rubio-esque of you!
Marco???? Is that you? Ha ha!
No and neither is Rush. Get a grip he can win. Both Trump and Cruz would be better but neither can win. Trump’ negative rating is higher than Hillary and Cruz has burned to many bridges.
Now that is funny. No not Rubio but I like the kid. Just think he has the best chance to win.
Sorry, I just don’t see the sweaty little boy winning. He has the same positions on amnesty and illegals as Hillary and Bernie. That is the number one issue according to all the polls.
No contrast. Beholden to his “sugar” daddies. The Dems will have a field day with him.
Ok Rubio repeated himself and now we get to make a big deal of it...Fine
I do think his point about Obama doing what he has done on purpose is very important though.
It did nor appear that other candidates agree and Trump calls Obama simply incompetent
Trump is dead wrong and I think its important to understand what Obama has been working on for 7 long years
So we disagree. I know I could be wrong. But then again so could you.
If Rubio is indeed the only one that can win against Hillary, because we’ve imported so many never-assimilating Hispanics, then our country is dead. Stick a fork in us.
On immigration, Rubio would be Obama’s third term. Except worse. Rubio would enact his treason as law.
His operating system has a bug. It encountered a “do while loop” that had no exit written in it.
