The fake Ben Carson controversy should end here and now

I know there are some of you who are willing to do what it takes to win but you want to make sure you do so with character and integrity. There's a line you don't want to cross. You are fine going up to that line and doing whatever you can that is within bounds but you don't want to cross that line and I am totally with you on that.

I am going to walk you through this faux outrage story regarding Ben Carson and Ted Cruz. I'm going to walk you through a timeline but before I do, I need to make sure you know what life is like at an Iowa Caucus. I'm on Team Cruz. I was one of the precinct captains in one of the larger precincts in Central Iowa...

Not sure how you arrive at that point of twisted logic, but what is proven is that Roberts had the huge majority of conservatives fooled in 2005. To claim that it was prior knowledge that Roberts would go astray would be a boldface lie. But I don't have to tell you that...you, as well as I, already know that.

If we grant your premise that a one-third of Carson supporters went to Cruz when Rubio and Cruz supporters were saying that Carson was leaving the campaign, then you pretty much admit that Trump's ceiling is 25%, and he would have backed into such a "win".

So what about John Roberts judicial record should have led Ted Cruz to think that he would have supported Obamacare?

As a conservative I have to support the most conservative candidate in the race. Anyone will be better than Obama, Hilary or Sanders. Who’s going to nominate the the most conservative judges. That’s Cruz. I have to wonder about all the Trump supporters who love to bash Cruz. If Trump wasn’t in the running who would you’re choice be? Jeb? Rubio? Carson?

You have managed to ignore the fact the initial tweet was disseminated by CNN, which, by the way, has become the “most trusted news source” for Trump followers here in FR.

And that 4 per precinct argument is on shakier ground than the San Andreas fault. You’re implying that, in this day of instant access to information through cell phones and iPads, etc, nobody in the voter ranks would’ve take 30 seconds to go online and verify the information.

So, given that... where’s the link to the witness accounts of actual voters who gravitated to Cruz as a result of that comment that Carson was leaving the race? I challenge you to provide such a link. Failing that... you need to check your own zone of reality. Because you’re chasing scandals that just aren’t there.

Then where were all those purported FReeper voices in the third week of September 2005? Because if you go back and do a search, you'll find only a hint of reservation about Roberts. The great majority were in favor of him.

Yeah God forbid trying to save our country from Cruz. Can you believe that he supported John Roberts? Boy what a dummy. Even I knew that John Roberts wasn't who he said he was. I was on Free Republic and I would bet that the Cruzies here are the ones with the love affair for John Roberts. I knew the guy was scummy. So I actually have credibility for saying Cruz is not right for our country at all.
