If the New Hampshire office of the pro-Ben Carson super PAC 2016 Committee felt a little empty Monday, that’s because everybody quit—and joined Ted Cruz’s campaign.
WMUR reported Monday that all five paid New Hampshire staffers for the pro-Carson super PAC resigned Sunday to become volunteers for Cruz, the Texas senator, who they feel is the most electable conservative.
“We hold Dr. Carson in the highest regard,” the group’s spokesperson, Jerry Sickles, told WMUR. “This is a man we revere, but we think it is important that our party nominate a conservative and get behind a single conservative who can win, and we strongly believe that candidate is Ted Cruz.”
The announcement came the same day that Sam Pimm, the former national head of 2016 Committee—which has raised more than $3.8 million and spent nearly $900,000 in support of Carson—said he decided to switch his support to Cruz, according to Politico, citing electability concerns about Carson. Pimm said he left the super PAC earlier in the fall.
High-profile defections are becoming quite the trend for the Carson campaign.
The retired neurosurgeon’s campaign manager and communications director were among at least five Carson staffers who quit the campaign December 31.
The once-surging, outsider Republican candidate has seen his poll numbers free-fall, both nationally and in early-voting states, since early November.

Good call on the part of Ben’s staff. Actually, I’d love to see Dr. Carson as Sec. of HHS, under whoever wins.
Obviously Carson has problems in his campaign. But I’m sure it will be all Ted’s fault- he forced them all to quit. Riiiightt.
This was old news, but perhaps worth reprising, as date stamped context, on a day when Carson has let 40% of his, remaining, staff go. And it shows why Carson might be more sensitive to Cruz folks saying at the Iowa caucuses he was quitting than to the same having been said by Rubio folks. Cruz is out competing him and even the Carson staff are seeing that.
The article stated they went from being paid by Carson to being volunteers for Cruz.
Why are you asking me if I have proof? You posted the article not me. Are you sure you posted an article that’s truthful? If not, then maybe you should be more discerning in what you post.

I posted the article, assuming it is the truth, you said it must obviously be a lie, and I asked for proof.

I’m curious why only SOME political candidates rallies are ALWAYS in breaking news and rarely any others. Just saying.
2. Trump has more rallies, so perhaps that is why it seems there are more “Breaking News” for Trump Rallies.

Carson’s voters have been flowing to Cruz for about two months.
Its a logical decision; only Cruz is electable.
