Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz said he will not discipline staffers who spread a rumor that Ben Carson was going to drop out of the race in an attempt to get Carson supporters to caucus for Cruz in Iowa. Cruz appeared on the Mike Gallager Show on Wednesday and talked about staffers who pushed a report that Carson wasn't going on to campaign in New Hampshire or South Carolina.

No, the cruz rep tweeted out that he had confirmation FROM CARSONS campaign that carson was going home.
This was BEFORE CNN put it out.
How do you explain that one away?

The ‘rumor’ did originate with CRuz staffers. They twisted the truth (hey, maybe Ted’s Twister Board came in to play!) and turned it into a nasty rumor/LIE.
Could be that Ted’s Twister board is what his staffers use when they’re trying to come up with their next tricky tactic.

Oh good grief. If I had been an Iowa voter and cared about whether Carson was still in the race or not, I would have VERIFIED the story from another source no matter who was telling it. Sheesh, what a bunch of spoiled babies we have in this country.

Okay. I’ve heard dozens of pundits, candidates, TV talking heads, party hacks, you name it, testify that Dr. Carson is a man “of the highest integrity and ethical standards.”
So which is it?(i’m talking to you, Rush Limbaugh, you too Mark Levin)Is Dr. Carson(and Sarah Palin too) a “whiner, a “baby,” a “hired hack” casting aspersions on St. Ted The Religious?
Or is Cruz a conniving hack who will resort to dirty tricks to win at all costs?

Should he fire Steve King? You can’t change the facts, you can only look at part of them. DT has ensured he will get no new support and will likely lose support. You can still choose from Rubio, Jeb, Christie, Fiorina or Kasich if you find Cruz disgusting. Your guy is toast.

Makes absolutely no sense. Why would Carson start something potentially detrimental to his campaign?
So why did Cruz apologize?
So then how did other campaigns watch the CNN report and come to the exact same conclusion about Carson dropping out, and take the exact same course of action?
