Sources told CNN Wednesday that Rick Santorum is dropping out of the 2016 presidential race.
"Another GOP departure: CNN has learned @RickSantorum will exit race tonight. Plans endorsement."
-- John King (@JohnKingCNN) February 3, 2016
The former Pennsylvania senator's exit comes close on the heels of Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul 's Wednesday announcement.
I would love to see a Cruz/Santorum ticket. Santorum, because the immoral left hates him with a passion, for a reason.
What will Trump and Cruz offer him to endorse someone else?
He's willing to hook up and or climb over anyone that will keep him in as a career politician so he can remain on that ladder. He's looking for a pay off.
Cruz is not the second choice of most of the GOPe candidates. He is the second choice of Trump, Santorum, Paul, and Huckabee, Not Jeb!, Rubio, Kasich, Christie, or Fiorina.
Well that will be true. He will be under the bus by a percentage here for sure. Just depends which group or if Rubio all of us. lol.
“How many babies has Trump killed? Zero
How many laws has Trump passed that support abortion? Zero
And yet, with both houses of congress, we still can not get Planned Parenthood federally defunded because Obama would be mad if we did......”
Yeah, voting for all those Republican conservative House and Senate candidates got us squat. The only thing that will shake things up is to elect a strong leader who may get everyone’s nose out of joint but will put us on the right path in the long run. I fear if Cruz is elected they will just thumb their nose at him and go their merry way along with the Democrats.
That says Santorum goes for Trump
The Donald will offer a job and he will get Little Ricky’s nod of approval. After all one has to wait four yrs. to run for president. What’s Little Ricky going to do until 2020?
Has anyone else actually listened to Santorum? He has been very anti-establishment, anti-illegal, pro-American.
Could be worse
Santorum wrote the original IRAN sanctions bill and helped balance the budget He knows his way around DC and would bring in some of the blue collar workers PA WVA and OH would be red !
>> Santorum was the most conservative candidate in the field <<
Last I heard, he wanted to raise the minimum wage. That disqualifies him in my book.
How many babies did Trump try to save? Zero
How many laws to stop abortion did Trump support? Zero
Plus he supports Planned Parenthood.
I guess most thought he had his chance. Are we lucky voters didn’t think that about Reagan in 1980 after losing in 1976. Voters are fickle. And not able to be patient enough to really learn about the best candidate.
Question...
Is Ted Cruz going to take these tacky, crooked workers on his staff with him to Washington?
Sure hope he thinks twice and sure hope he cuts the time of his chats...much too long and boring...
oh well..what will be, will be...
Cruz has consistently voted against anything to do with veterans.
“Little Ricky’s”
You call a 6-3 inch man little?
I’ve thought the same. If he doesn’t pick Cruz, which I think is his best option, albeit getting worse all the time with the infighting, Santorum makes sense ideologically speaking. Certainly, Rick has a similar immigration perspective, which is THE issue of this campaign.
>> How many babies has Trump killed? Zero <<
How do you know? Can you provide evidence?
And why did he say once that he was 100% pro-choice?
The man is conservative. I defy you to find anything about him that is not. Who he endorses let’s you know who he thinks will advance those principles. I hope he urges his voters to support Mr. Trump. Every percent counts.
