Milford, New Hampshire (CNN)Donald Trump on Tuesday said his decision to skip the last Republican debate before the Iowa caucuses may have led to his second-place finish in the Hawkeye State.
"That could've been with the debate," Trump acknowledged to reporters in Milford, New Hampshire, where he was introduced and endorsed by former Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown. "I think some people were disappointed that I didn't go into the debate."

Trump cost Trump Iowa. The debates don’t matter that much.
Trump cost Trump Iowa. The debates don’t matter that much.
Trump cost Trump Iowa. The debates don’t matter that much.
Campaigning is messy. People like Trump don’t do messy. They hire it out. At some point, sooner rather than later he will tire of this and find a way to extract himself from the campaign.
But he organized an event exclusively to benefit vets and raised over 6 million dollars. We should be really proud of what he accomplished in a few hours in lieu of his 7th (Gotcha)debate.
Quote “Cruz cheating cost Trump Iowa”
*sigh*
give it a rest.
The debate was an ambush FOR Trump against his opponents. Fox has been promoting Trump.
_________________________________________________________
He definitely has his cheerleaders on Fox. Tantaros, Bolling, Guilfoyle, Carlson, and let’s not forget O’Reilly, the biggest Trump supporter of them all, among many others.
Cruz seems universally despised on Fox with the exception of getting a fair shake from Hannity, who comes across as neutral and unbiased in his interviews — a first!
The “entrance” polls didn’t match the results
Something weird happenned in the Caucus, very Nixonesque
Roger That!
That’s right. Trump was right to tell Fox and their pole dancer to go pound sand. He may be questioning his decision now, but that’s the sign of a reasonable man.
As an outsider, Trump is going to turn Washington DC upside down and thereby right it.
Cruz is straight Uniparty business as usual GOP establishment..
The only ones beside Cruz not “right” are the Canadian’s screeching, cult-like apologists and GOP-e lickspittles.
Personally, I hope that Trump learns from his mistakes and doesn’t pull foolish stunts like this

He can’t. It is simply not in his nature. You have to accept the man for who he is, not who you would like him to become.
Stupid Iowa voters who didn't appreciate his omnipotent greatness.
Being an obvious liberal & trying to fool people into believing you are conservative may have done it for Trump, too.

At least Trump didn’t pass out teddy bears and soccer balls to illegals at the southern border with Glenn Beck.
This primary is far from over. Let’s not get too cocky.
It’s possible that it did, but Trump’s decision to skip the debate wasn’t smart.
Making temperamental decision like that isn’t something I want in a president to be perfectly honest.
Trump says Cruz is a "nasty guy"..."nobody likes him"
Meanwhile...
TRUMP [on the Larry King Show (2009), referring to the then newly elected communist president (Obama)]: "Well, I really like him. I think that he's working very hard. He's trying to rebuild our reputation throughout the world. I mean, we really have lost a lot of reputation in the world. The previous administration [GW Bush] was a total disaster, a total catastrophe."
And I'm not saying I agree with everything he's doing. I do agree with what they're doing with the banks. Whether they FUND THEM or NATIONALIZE them, it doesn't matter, but you have to keep the banks going."
I'm not sure how many he actually fooled. I think he exposed plenty as unprincipled, though.
Apparently, all one needs to do is bad-mouth RINOs, claim to be anti-establishment, and repeat the word "wall" over & over and some people become obsessed with "winning".
Even if the so-called victory = a president who was recently a Democrat, donates to Al Sharpton, is for government health care, gun control, amnesty, government surveillance, etc, etc, etc.

May have been some possible impact.... But, IMO Trump cost Trump Iowa. The people want
or expect certain things and if you want their support you try to provide to their expectations.
Trump didn’t.
But all said Trump left Iowa one delegate vote short of Cruz for the National GOP
Convention. How the three votes of the executives go is yet to be seen. So the final
is yet to be determined.
Polls don’t mean much when turnout is what decides outcomes. That’s especially true for caucuses, which are a bigger time commitment for voters than primaries. Cruz’s evangelical base was more committed to get out the vote than Trump’s supporters. It’s the same reason that Rick Santorum and Mike Huckabee managed to win Iowa in 12 and 08: their supporters weren’t necessarily higher in number, just more committed to turn out and caucus.
Yea, the embrace of Pelosi and Reid right before the caucus was weird even by Trump standards.
