Donald J. Trump ‏@realDonaldTrump 15 minutes ago

Anybody who watched all of Ted Cruz's far too long, rambling, overly flamboyant speech last nite would say that was his Howard Dean moment!

me too. It would be nice if they would focus on Rubio as would their voters , but alas they won’t and I suspect this is all being fueled by the establishment media and a certain few on here.

I was never for him because of what you described. It will lose the general election.

Cruz spent 2 years and big bucks to win Iowa. Donald spent only 300 dollars per vote. Cruz spent 600 dollars per vote. Who really won for that 1 delegate. And Cruz probably would have gotten some love this week from the media but instead of talking about Cruz positively they are discussing the speech length and mess of it.......I don’t think that was Cruz’s objective.

I am certainly a Cruz supporter - but his speech was too long and rambling. Rubio's was very good, and I thought Trumps was a good tone too. My wife says repeatedly that Cruz is too preacher style for her. But she couldn't vote for trump - ever she says. I think she likes Rubio.

All that being said - I think Cruz had his reasons for rattling on and on. He was getting FREE political airtime from the networks. It was actually funny how Fox had to keep showing it on and on. And had to tape delay Hillary's speech. And by individually naming and thanking some of his many supporters in the field - I gotta think that really helps motivate his other supporters out there in the field as he goes on. Probably a smart move overall. He actually finally got some free air time like trump has always been getting.

Did Cruz really just apologize to Carson for playing up the lie that Carson was getting out of the race??

No, it's another one of those internet optical illusion things.

No it doesn't look like he can. But he did say once I am going to win so many times you will tell me to stop.

Stalled at the gate.

Going to be interesting to see his next rally.

I like Cruz and he was right to take advantage of the chance to give a victory speech. It may be a while before he gets another chance.

I think Cruz is overcome with evil. So, what’s your point:? I delegate difference. And, their 3 electoral votes will go for the commies in the general. It doesn’t matter. The so-called evangelicals will vote for pro-abortion, baby killers in the general. SO much for their morals.

Childish.

Agree.

One views this comment by Mister Trump as the very model of the inverse of being statesmanlike, having wisdom, or...ahem... acting Presidential, n'est ce pas?

If Trump posted "Anybody who watched all of Ted Cruz's... speech last nite would say..." on FR he would be ripped to shreds and left spamming "ad hominem" like his supporters.

It only works in Iowa. He got 1/3 of the evangelical voters, and that’s something to crow about? What am I missing here?

The only thing I dreaded about reading anything today, was the idiotic notion that it was a landslide, which it clearly was not.

As to Trump’s tweet, I’m guessing it’s the whole ‘I’m in tight with God’ thing Cruz keeps putting out there. Other than that guess, I have no idea!

I am a Cruz supporter and agree. It was a really long and dull victory speech. A Howard Dean moment???? Not so much.
