Donald J. Trump â@realDonaldTrump 15 minutes ago
Anybody who watched all of Ted Cruz's far too long, rambling, overly flamboyant speech last nite would say that was his Howard Dean moment!
Umhum.
Yep when I read the headline I thought Trump was calling Iowa HIS Howard Dean moment. You have to lose to have your Dean moment...Trump did lose.
Your snide remarks won’t save you next week.
Trump, stop throwing grenades and get back on message.
Cruz, stop with the Church Lady thing.
Boys...Rubio is going to steal the show if you both don’t start talking issues.
War is Peace!
Ignorance is Strength!
Losing is Winning!
I’m already saved! I hope you are too.
At first the snarky attacks were actually good and interesting. It was putting everyone on notice not to mess with him. But then he just kept on doing it and even doing it pre-emptively and not just waiting to respond to someone else’s attack first.
I’d still vote for him to piss off the GOPe, but it would be for the entertainment he brings not the policies.
Trumpadump has hugh expectations for next week too. This time the other Cuban takes his lunch.
ok
I don’t disagree with a single thing you said, but what would have been the outcome had Cruz & his people not played dirty politics with Carson’s supporters?
I doubt we’ll ever know, but I’ll betcha people won’t forget it.
Cruz’ speech was bad. Rubio was on, however. Trump did not give a speech, he merely visited with his people for a few minutes and passed along info.
Cruz rambled and sounded nasally and what’s up with the handheld mic? Inconsistent volume levels. Give him a mic stand and a condenser mic and train him how to use it.
Noting that I will vote for Trump or Cruz, I do not see why patriots are demonizing one or the other of these candidates.
In fact, it is actually up to patriots, not Trump or Cruz, to exercise their voting muscle to force the unconstitutionally big federal government back into is constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited power cage.
“You mean his one election in Texas, because he sure as hell hasnât beat a Democrat since then.”
Well, Ted’s one election is one more than Donnie ever won!
Cruz won just 1 more delegate than Trump. That’s hardly anything to crow about. It won’t matter in the general - Iowas has 3 electoral votes which will go to the commies anyway.
Trump's problem is that (a) he has a solid base of supporters who love the "crap," and view it as sticking it to the establishment, but (b) that base is not nearly broad enough to deliver the nomination (much less the general).
Trump had none of his people giving speeches at his caucusing venues.
So, you're admitting that Trump's organization was a mess? I though the Donald always had "the best people?" Fact is the man has an over-the-top unfavorable rating. When forced to commit their vote, people just couldn't hold their nose and vote for Trump.
Cruz, with the most sophisticated (and very lefty like) ground game of obfiscation and just outright lying, barely beat a guy who had zero ground game.
The MSM’s claim that trumps supporters wouldn’t actually come out to support him didn’t come true.
If trump had had 5% of a ground game he probably would have won. Big deal, he would have been 1 delegate up on cruz.
Im just gonna sit back and enjoy you cruzers gloating over that huge 1 delegate lead.
I thought it was just me. I too turned it off early because it just seemed to go on forever. I hope he gets better. He is my pick. Someone famous once said that ‘brevity is the soul of wit’ or something like that.
6233 votes.. is not small win.
Trump barely got second place.
Ted Cruz 51,649 votes
Donald J. Trump 45,416 votes
Marco Rubio 43,132 votes
Ted Cruz beat Trump by 6233 votes
Ted Cruz beat Rubio by 8517 votes
Donald Trump beat Rubio by only 2284 votes
So Cruz beat Trump by roughly 3x as many votes as Trump beat Rubio
This was a YUGE loss for Trump!!
Trump had no ground game in Iowa, what he has is a stadium filling made for tv spectacle.
