Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh said Tuesday that Donald Trump lost the Iowa caucus because his criticism of Ted Cruz made him sound "like a liberal Democrat."
"I don't think Trump skipping the debate had a thing to do with what happened last night," began Limbaugh. "This is a Republican primary. It's Iowa. Conservatives win in Iowa."
"Donald Trump, I don't know if you forgot - one thing that everyone remembers - he went out and tried to criticize Ted Cruz," explained the talk-show host.
"Ted Cruz isn't the enemy," he continued. "Hillary Clinton is the enemy. Ted Cruz is not a nasty guy. Ted Cruz is not a Canadian."
"Nobody is going to believe that, especially when you offer that criticism sounding as though it could come with Bernie Sanders. In a Republican primary, you do not win if you're going to sound like a liberal democrat criticizing Ted Cruz."

I am a conservative. I am not simply going to support someone because they are “anti-establishment”. Communists are “anti-establishment”. Anarchists are “anti-establishment”. Fascists are “anti-establishment”. If you can’t make the case that a candidate is a conservative, don’t bother telling me how great they are because they aren’t “establishment”.

This country has many issues that deserve real policy discussions. That require real thought and dedication to tackle and resolve them. Trumpy needs to find a way to articulate serious policy solutions and move away from the “I’m the greatest and if you don’t think so then you’re a nasty idiot” campaign. If he doesn’t he will not get the nomination. (He may not get it anyway because he’s left of Romney)....

It is easy for Cruz to beat his chest and call Trump a socialist but he has to answer that question with the free market.

If Trump bans Pelosi, Reid, and the Democrat party how is he supposed to push new, fair trade deals through Congress. He didn’t say he agreed with them on any point, just that he can work with them.
Trump has a lot to do, needs to work the system to build the wall, tame the budget, get fair trade deals, protect the 2nd Amendment, etc. It’s not a one-man job.

It’s just wrong to think Obama Care should be “replaced” - because that by definition means a government fix. Government cannot fix health care except by getting the hell out of the way, and maybe having a relatively tiny program for uninsureds with pre ex conditions that will not screw with everyone else’s health care.
