Contrary to FALSE MEDIA reports, Dr. Ben Carson is not suspending his presidential campaign

Stop spamming all the threads. Thank you
Sour grapes?
That depends on whether someone actually spread a false report.
Do I think that would have helped his numbers? Not much.
But, a false report is a false report, and it’s good to know who started it.
“Who in the hell leaves the campaign trail with a primary in one week to get fresh clothes? Sorry, I like Carson but heâs not a serious player. Itâs a tough business Ben.”
Ben likely didnt know that we have really good dry cleaners here in Iowa that he could have used.
Or that we have shopping malls that he could have bought new ones if needed.
He thought instead; that he had to go to Florida to have his laundry done.
So the Cruz campaign acknowledges sending out the letter to the precinct captains, at least one of which then gave a copy of the letter to CNN - the source for the claim cited in the letter.
One thing I know: CNN is smack-dab in the middle of this mess. They reported that Carson would not be campaigning for the next 2 primaries, and they are gleefully spreading the story that Cruz is slime.
There is more to this story. See my recent posts for information. This smells of Rubio.
He’s a brilliant man but when he says things like this it makes him look like he’s a couple nuggets short of the proverbial happy meal.
in an election year, false reports are a dime a dozen.
Carson thought he could just show up and win and it didn’t work and he can’t admit to himself, yet.
That they made no attempt to confirm it. Looks like a set up from the Get Go.
Williams was singularly responsible for driving away other "advisors!"
Don't know about the "other advisors" but I do know Williams is an awful choice for anyone's "closest advisor!"
Which could be true.
But, IF someone spread a false report, then they did.
Depending on who it was, if it was done, then it is normal politics he should have accounted for, or for one camp it would be a moral failure since they’re running as true Christians as a part of their campaign.
That said, his supporters should have been a little bit smarter. How do you get convinced at a meeting that the guy who was running when you left your house is all of a sudden not running?
I’m not going to put them on the cash register to count money.
I am happy that he is acknowledging that it was the Media who let it out, but what else were they to think.
Carson should have said...."look I am taking a little break, but I will return shortly so carry on."
I have seen plenty of coverage on this story.
Along with the mailer, another big Cruz screw up. And as others have said, especially from a Christian viewpoint.
Amen!
Getting pretty darn desperate there, aren’t you.
Bye Ben. Nice guy, but should try for Surgeon General instead.
He could not know that cruz had sabotaged his campaign until Steve King admitted it this morning on Talk radio. It was a dirty trick — very sleezy lie intended to get Carson voters not to vote!!
Can we just get rid of the rest of this field and leave it to Cruz and Trump???
Reporting a breaking news story is not a screw up or a scandal. Nor was it Cruz’s job to fact check the media on a breaking story. Carson sabotaged his own campaign by going home before the Iowa Caucus was finished and abandoning his troops on the field. That was weird behavior which led to the media stories and dropout rumors.
I love Ben Carson, in fact if everyone on the planet had the intelligence and personality and demeanor of Ben Carson we WOULD NOT NEED any government at all...
But I dont want him to be President. I want him to work for President Trump. HHS, or Surgeon General.
I have worked as both a volunteer and paid staff of local, state and national campaigns since the '80s and even jumped to the "dirty tricks" thinking myself, especially when some "questionable things" happened!
The younger and especially virtual naive in politics, it's very tempting to jump on the conspiracy theories!
Volunters are especially susceptible to this and the old salts love to "rattle their cages!"
Yes, the point is that this kind of chaos always happens on the ground.
Rumors and gossip run wild and nobody is sure what is going on. A good disciplined campaign have to anticipate this. For example not make moves that can be misconstrued, or have agents present at all the precincts dispelling the rumors against your candidate.
