Rubio: I’ll be the Great Uniter the GOP needs
Hot Air ^ | February 2, 2016 | Ed Morrissey

Can Marco Rubio unite the Republican Party? Does it actually want to be united? Rubio previewed this argument all throughout Iowa, and then in an ebullient quasi-victory speech last night. This morning, the surprisingly strong bronze medalist expanded and expounded on his theme of unity on ABC’s Good Morning America:

I started out liking all of the Republican candidates, but just like 2012 they all started beating each other up, while the Dems sat back and watched. As a result, the US got a bull-in-the-china shop president because no one could accept the Rino Romney. For all of you who sat home and did not vote, how’d that work out? Well, this time may be a repeat, maybe not, but the difference is, if we don’t win this time everyone’s voting days may be over because voting will be a useless act. It may already be over because the Dems will cheat against whoever we choose. To me, there are flaws with every candidate running, but whoever is chosen I would crawl over broken glass to vote for. None of the Republican candidates, none of them, would be worse than a lying criminal Democrat who will apoint several supremes, or a socialist who would double our 19 trillion debt. Whenever anyone even thinks about not voting, just think, would you rather have Bill Clinton back in the White House, or Rubio, Cruz or Trump?

I think we all agree that it will be hard to accept that Rubio has committed himself to standing against amnesty.

So for the sake of argument since several people say he's not different than Hillary; that would mean that he will support raising taxes by $1.3 TRILLION; that he will support women in combat; that he will support expanding the EPA, the Dept of Ed, the Dept of Commerce and the oppressive fist created in the Dept. of Interior by Sally Jewell.

That would mean that he would never reopen hearings on the IRS persecution of Tea Party organizations, Benghazi or Emailgate.

I think those assumptions are a stretch for Rubio, but reality for Hillary. If they are all to be considered even that still leaves the Supreme Court that will probably have four vacancies in the next four years. What I am hearing here is that all of you would prefer those choices going to Hillary.

I can't believe you would feel that way. I'm not supporting Rubio at this time, but I damn sure will take my chances on us being able to influence him over Hillary.

This is the exact same argument I have heard from the RNC pukes since 1988. Vote for our turd, he doesn’t smell near as bad as the bogey man turd the democrats are running...

What has it got us?

I'm not saying he's not different than Hillary. What I am saying is open borders/amnesty (i.e. Rubio, Jebster, et al) = game over for our nation. It would at the very least guarantee that Hillary and others of her ilk would be elected in perpetuity. Sure, Rubio might toe the conservative line on certain issues. But it will not matter if he's already lost the game with amnesty. You cannot seem to understand that it does not matter what good he would do if he has already inflicted a fatal blow to the republic.

I do understand what you're saying. I also understand our responsibility as citizens.

There are 49 states to go in the primary process (though many won't matter) and Rubio will be appearing all over the place as this campaign rolls along. All it takes is one person to stand up in a town hall or a diner filled with reporters and confront him by demanding an answer for the record on his involvement with Schumer and the gang.

As I have said before one key that Cruz used to defeat them in the Senate was the issue of voting. When he wrote the amendment to take citizenship off the table, the senate dropped the bill. We can do the same thing and take it up a notch by asking if they believe any background check should include cross checking voter registration roles to see if people living here illegally have also committed felony vote fraud and if that should get them a ticket home, never to return.

My guess is Trump is the only one who would say "yes".

Know that your vote for Rubio is a vote for amnesty and a permanent Democrat majority and everything else that you fear will follow.

****************************

The Senate dropped Cruz’s amendment and passed the bill. The only thing that saved the country was us voters of the 7th VA voting out the weasel Eric Cantor. They were ready to pass it through the House with Democrat votes after Cantor’s primary.

Rubio is fully committed to abandoning the rule of law and giving away the country. I will not vote for that.

I know this is not popular, but I will ask...

IS RUBIO EVEN ELIGIBLE TO BE PRESIDENT???

Technically he was an ANCHOR BABY—NEITHER OF HIS PARENTS WERE US CITIZENS at his birth...

If he is allowed, then technically you could have a candidate with Iranian parents, Chinese parents, etc. I think this is going to be a problem in the future.

Here is a question:

Can an anchor baby with Cuban parents get a top secret security clearance?

I heard about a guy who had problems getting one because his wife was Canadian.

And how does this translate to the office of the presidency and national security in relation to NBC?

No, Rubio is not eligible, neither is Cruz, Jindal, Haley, Obama, or McCain.

Nobody seems to care........

Sorry, I take Mark Levin’s Conservative Review with a grain of salt. Clearly they don’t take into account H-1B Visa stand...

Isn’t this the publication that put out daily negative Trump articles?

Rubio would be an enormous disaster. He has zero positive accomplishments. He was member of the Gang of Eight. He is controlled by GOPe and his donors. His speed talking and slickness should raise red flags.

Good point, what has he ever DONE???
