American patriots: “Excellent.”

Trump followers: “What a fat stupid idiot.”

John Hawkins endorses Cruz.

Maybe John’s hoping he won’t receive one of those Cruz “Voter Shaming” mailers that are making the rounds in Iowa now.

Too little too late Johnny boy, Cruz is going down on Monday night.

Who’s John Hawkins and why do I care who he is voting for?

Opportunities like this don't come along very often and if conservatives let this one pass, we may never again have a chance to put a conservative champion like Cruz in the White House.""""....

Exactly the kind of person FR & the masses have been crying for all these past 7 years, we have a Conservative Champion and FR wants to reject him.....hard to understand that.

TED CRUZ 2016......

Fascinating. John Hawkins uses his entire column explaining why he likes Cruz.
I did not see one sentence tell us what a asshat Trump is.
How novel.

“Liberal Democrats fear Ted Cruz because they know he’s a strong, principled conservative that can’t be browbeaten, pushed around or bought off.”

This is a rare case where I agree with liberal Democrats. Ted Cruz is a principled conservative that can’t be browbeaten, pushed around or bought off.

The thing I like about Cruz and Trump is that they don’t apologize for telling the truth, but I like Cruz better.

A gentle reminder of President Ronald Reagan, who was the essence of love for his fellow Americans, dignity, wisdom, knowledge and a beautiful, self-deprecating sense of humor.

I am sad about the total void of leadership in the GOP, the only party I have ever been registered with in my entire life. But Cruz, while he is a good junior senator and perhaps a potential Supreme Court justice, doesn’t belong in the Oval Office and moreover has no hope of ever getting there. Just face it.

Until I hear some specifics from Trump on what he would do on certain things, I’m leaving him and voting for Cruz. We vote in the primaries in one month, Mar 1. I need to know what he has in mind for healthcare, taxes, and a whole lot more.. specifics, not broad suggestions

By this time in the process, I need to know more than “make America great”. His great may not suit my ideas of great.

I’ve been a Trump voter all this time.. and it’s time he gave us some specifics or I can’t cast that vote for Trump. It’s nitty gritty time. And besides all that, I’m fed up with the fighting and hard hitting attacks. Lies and exaggerations.... Enough already!

However, what I will say is that Ted Cruz is the first grassroots-friendly conservative to be within striking distance of becoming the GOP nominee since Reagan. Opportunities like this don't come along very often and if conservatives let this one pass, we may never again have a chance to put a conservative champion like Cruz in the White House.

And that is the truth!

Any “conservative” endorsement that doesn’t address the GOP’s “media handicap” is just another example of the GOPe feeding our people into the woodchipper, only to click their tongues in “told you so” disdain as he’s spewed out the other end.
