Sorry, Donald Trump. But Megyn Kelly is a fantastic debate moderator.

There was no avoiding it, and Fox News Channel didn't really try: Megyn Kelly was the star of the show at Thursday's Republican presidential debate in Des Moines.
Kelly, of course, is a big reason that GOP front-runner Donald Trump refused to participate. Ever since their run-in at the first primary debate in August, Trump has maintained that Kelly is a "lightweight" who doesn't ask fair questions. (Never mind that he previously said she's a great moderator.) Unreasonable as Trump's critique might be, all eyes were on Kelly and her questions in Des Moines.

Megyn Kelly is a debate participant imo, but disguised as a moderator to fool low-information viewers.

No she’s not. Moderators moderate. They don’t inject themselves into debates with candidates.

(The only time you can be satisfied is when your all Trump.)
And then I told them I was a political adviser to President Bush.
During that time I wrote a memo telling him how to explain he didn't support Proposition 187.
It was just a bad idea. California didn't have a right to try to address it's illegal immigration problem.
Not like this. Who would dare try to cut off funding for all sorts of programs for illegal aliens?
I also told him how to explain that this was all so harsh since it involved so many chidlren.
It was all about being kinder and gentler.
One day my wife went to work for the CFR. She only worked there five years.
She was only working for the good part of the CFR.
She did sign a document called, "Building a North American Coummunity"
but that was a very Conservative thing to do.
Then one day the John Roberts was nominated for the Supreme Court.
I had preferred several other people, but when John was nominated I praised him.
Why he had one of the most Conservatve Minds around. So do I.
After he was appointed, he went on to single-handedly hand the nation,
Obamacare.
So when you think about who you want to appoint Supreme Court judges,
just remember that I have the best Constitutional mind around,
and I can be trusted to pick and support the right people.
Why would you want someone who hasn't been tested?
Then one day, I decided to do my best to defeat the Gang of Eight bill.
One really good way I thought, was to propose that we double the amount of legal immigraiton each year,
and then increaase to 500% the amount of H1-B visas to be approved each year.
I submitted two bills, but they were shot down. Oh, and that was just at the sub-committed level.
The Republican dominated sub-committee shot them both down.
I'm not sure what I would have done if they agreed to it.
I didn't agree with either of these things. I thought of them as a poison pill.
Well that's what I told everyone. Luckily not one person noticed I was still pushing the H1-B idea over two years later.
Shhhhhhhhhh....
Then one day, a bill called Corker came to the floor of the Senate. It had to do with Obama's nuclear agreement with Iran.
I opposed that bill so stridently, but in the end I voted for it, because I found a way to outsmart every Democrats and
Republican except for one who voted for it along with me. I fooled them into voting for this Conservative bill.
No, they didn't fool me into voting with them. Only one guy fully understood that bill.
It was me, not the other approximately 99 people. They were just stupid enough to vote for a Conservative bill.
Honest.
Then there was the time I decided it was a great idea to oppose TPP legislation.
Once again I fooled everyone by voting for support legislation called TPA.
Now that's how a Conservative blocks a bill he doesn't want.
He votes to approve legislation that makes it possible.
Once again, most Democrats foolishly voted with me.
I'm telling ya folks, I one crafty Conservative.

Well, she sure put the hurt on the Master Debater, and she not only didn,'t go to Princeton and Harvard or win a debate awared - she's a girl!I didn't watch it but I've caught snippets about Mr. Cruz bemoaning the plight of being center podium and all the flak that brings.
Now it seems he also did that in a previous debate but he was still Rush's dark horse then, still a long way from the on deck spot. I think it was the CNBC debacle.
So piping up when and as he did was considered by most everybody as the heroic thing to do back then. He really set those wayward "moderators" straight about getting back to the issues and stop trying to get everyone to say something bad about Donald. Sounded great. Fast forward to Ted donning the armor of God and entering the arena as top dog.
Now when he tries it because everybody is jamming ice picks in the folds of his suit, it sounds small. Hey everybody stop picking on me. I'm starting to think that Mr. Trump was right and I should have just partied with the vets. I'm outta here. Ha! 'Cept he kept taking head shots. Congrats Ted. You survived. But Marco won from all I've seen.
