Oregon protest leader Ammon Bundy and seven others were arrested Tuesday night. Protester LaVoy Finicum was killed in the confrontation with police and the FBI.

On Wednesday Cliven Bundy, father of Ammon Bundy, told reporters his son told him the FBI murdered militia spokesman LaVoy Finicum with his hands up.

I believe I read that the girl witness said no one from the vehicle shot- and the reason the driver took off was because they were being fired upon- again the driver was trying to save the lives of the passengers and himself
You wouldn’t lower your arms for any legitimate reason if you were in that position. He didn’t anticipate the LEO behind him and though he could get the jump on the LEOs in front of him.
There may have been 20 to 30 cops and Feds involved. If there is only 2 or 3 who are not willing to lie through their teeth about it, they would have a problem posting a pack of lies. The "conspirators" never know if they can trust all 20 or 30 LEOs to lie for them.
I wonder if all the other LEOs have seen the edited version of the video, and if anyone of them spills the beans, at a later date? Who knows?

Actually, I’m the same way. I shoot a rifle right-handed, I shoot a pistol left-handed, although I can use both hands. But I can’t shoot a rifle left-handed. Not that unusual, I write with my left hand but bat and throw right handed.
All I’m saying is that if it looked like he was going for that shoulder holster they would have opened up. There are several videos on Youtube showing him armed as I have described—I suspect these officers were informed of that ahead of time if they didn’t actually watch the videos.

Maybe the gov’t response, in their minds if not in fact prevented another ‘Miami-FBI shootout.
But they are the professionals, they rehearse these precise scenarios at Quantico, the FBI always takes the reins so they ‘own’ this.
What will be critical I think is whether Finicum was trying to surrender, as it appears, and if a reasonable LEO (the reasonable man standard) would have acted in the same way or rather would have held him at gunpoint.
At 3:30 AM it looks like either extreme recklessness or a plain execution. So goodnight.
His brake lights were on as soon he got to the curve. So it would be reasonable to say it’s possible he was attempting to stop. Or maybe he was just slowing down trying to look for a way around the roadblock. We can’t tell conclusively from the video.
Regardless, I don’t think it would be a blind curve at legal speed.

They don't want to release their video from their guy who was right on top of the action because you'd hear the gunshots BEFORE he grabbed for where he'd been shot.

I don’t think it’s a death sentences to to evade the cops. They set up their secondary ambush stop intentionally on a blind curve. This is an old road block tactic. They do the same with DUI stops, which are also unconstitutional.
I bet those in the Truck never fired a single shot.
