If you will be watching Trump you will be watching the debate. Trump will go to the debate, not sure how he pulls this off, but he will come up with something. The guy has 9 political lives I swear.

yeah, i’ll be mostly watching the trump/huckabee/santorum event but did record the fnc event just in case fisticuffs broke out or someone collapsed at podium.

“Using them” would imply they get nothing out of it. They stand to get lots of money for their worthy cause.
Sure, it’s a .p”political event”, but so is the FOX debate. FOX is in it for the ratings and the advertising bucks. The candidates are in it for the votes.
It’s the election season, it’s all about the “political events” and everyone involved has something to gain.
Trump just choose to skip the ambush, and instead of sitting home and watching TV, he’s putting on a big event in which the wounded warriors are the beneficiaries.
Bernie and Hillary are offering free college for everyone! They’re all making promises from which everyone will “benefit”.
He has rope-a-doped FOX news and used their own weight against them. I think it was a clever move on his part. One of the lessons imparted is, “don’t f*** with Trump!”.
If the veterans turn down the money to try and embarrass Trump, then may they never get another contribution from anyone...after all, people may be donating just to get get a tax break (gasp! More using) .
It’s called reality, deal with it.
