I don’t doubt they are friends. Just on the question of debate attendance, they’ve openly staked out opposing positions.
A LOT of Cruz supporters hoped Cruz would join the boycott.
If Cruz is one of them, this would be awsome!
If Cruz is NOT one of them, this could bite him big-time if he doesn’t join it.

You made three statements. I cannot determine which of the three is the most bizarre.
There are no Cruz supporters that are hoping he skips a debate just days before the Iowa caucus.
It would not be awesome. It would be the height of stupidity.
Why would Cruz skip the debate in solidarity with Trump’s petulance and childish behavior? That is mind boggling.
1-3% candidates are now sniffing for cabinet positions.

Just heard Huckabee speaking to the substitute on the Laura Ingraham show. Huckabee said he has a call into the Trump campaign and is waiting for a call back. Huckabee does not want be considered a “crasher” and wants confirmation that he would be welcome to attend the Trump event.
Me too. The press is supposedly a mutual enemy. Now all of a sudden they defend the press and ridicule Trump for avoiding the press shenanigans.

No way would Trump accept Carly to join him. She tries (unsuccessfully) to eviscerate him ever chance she gets, and quite frankly, no one would want to turn in to listen to her shrill condescending tone.

Cruz has made a lot of blunders lately. It’s what happens when you are losing and desperate - you have to chuck the ball downfield and thus are prone to turnovers.
