The occupation of a remote wildlife refuge turned violent yesterday when federal agents stopped two vehicles carrying protesters to a town hall meeting in John Day, Oregon. Victoria Sharp, a passenger in one of those vehicles, has reported that federal agents opened fire on the group without provocation after conflicting and confusing demands for the protesters to surrender. Sharp reported that shots were first fired at Ryan Payne as he complied with orders to show his hands out of the window of the vehicle in which she was riding, but that the shots missed. Payne was calling for police to not shoot, as there were women in the vehicle, and exited the vehicle, asking that the women be allowed out.
At this point, LaVoy Finicum, one of the spokesmen for the occupiers, who was driving the vehicle in which Ms. Sharp was riding, yelled out the window that they were going to go talk to the sheriff (at the meeting in John Day), or that agents could just shoot him. He told the passengers to get down, and drove forward, precipitating heavy gunfire from the agents, and crashing the vehicle into a snowbank.

If this happened to a Black, all hell would break out. Even if LaVoy Finicum was charging the police, there would have been hell to pay (hint hint).
FBI are Obama Admin goon squad.

LaVoy Finicum: “I Would Rather Die Than Be Caged”

For someone like you, it probably does seem "weird". That said, by all indications, he was prepared to surrender. He had is hands in the air - that's usually a sign of surrender - no?
"I have been raised in the country all my life. I love dearly to feel the wind on my face, to see the sun rise, to see the moon in the night. I have no intention of spending any of my days in a concrete box." - LaVoy Finicum
I wasn’t there.
Why didn’t the police say this guy attacked them and they were forced to shoot him?
Seems like that would have been the first thing they said.
But they didn’t.

January 6th;
This also came with a warning: “I’m telling them right now â don’t point guns at me,” he said.
The FBI and local police said Tuesday night they had no information to release about arrest warrants.
Finicum hinted earlier Tuesday he was keen for an end to the situation. “I need to get home,” he said. “I got cows that are scattered and lost.”
Going home would have been a good choice, instead of all the bad ones that ended with him getting killed.
It was his choice to be there. He mad many choices long the way - and could have made them differently and been alive.
His death is a consequence of his choices.
..cynical me- but there will either no cop cams or they will have malfunctioned...
You are right. Come to think of it, there were NO copcams at the big Waco Twin Peaks shootout. Like Oregon, Waco cops had plenty of time to forget them. And 170+ bikers were arrested and wound up with absurd million dollar bonds.
You are correct sir. It is possible that EVERY dash cam and body can suffered catastrophic failure, all at once.
Look, if the Feds can get away with murdering all those people at Waco, don't you think they can easily get away with killing one?
I wonder if they decided beforehand, that someone needed to die?
Our Father who art in heaven ...

An American citizen is dead.
He was killed without a trial.
He was killed by government officials.
The people with him were arrested for getting in the way of a federal employee.
He was killed because they got in the way of federal employees?
Seems like our government employees would have cooler heads than that.
FBI much?
I am sympathetic to the ideas of the “Sagebrush Rebellion”. Fedzilla needs to be reined in, especially the statist Aholes who run the Bureau of Land Management.
That being said these people hitched their horse to the wrong wagon. Originally the protest was about the ranchers (the Hammonds) who were going back to jail. The Hammonds did not support the protesters. The local populace did not support the protesters.
I blame Ammon Bundy for this unfolding disaster. He was supposed to be their leader. There is no evidence of strategic thinking in this whole thing - it is all based on emotion rather than reason.
The protest at his father’s ranch succeeded because his family and the local populace supported them. You can’t barge in to an area where you are not wanted and not supported and expect a successful outcome.
