In a rapidly intensifying back-and-forth between Fox News Channel and the campaign of Republican frontrunner Donald Trump, the network Tuesday night accused Trump's campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski of threatening FNC host and debate moderator Megyn Kelly.
In a statement, a Fox News spokesperson said "in a call on Saturday with a Fox News executive, Lewandowski stated that Megyn had a 'rough couple of days after that last debate' and he 'would hate to have her go through that again.' Lewandowski was warned not to level any more threats, but he continued to do so. We can't give in to terrorizations toward any of our employees."

Evidently you missed the follow-up to the debate in August. It turned out that the “research” that Megyn Kelly used was largely words pulled out of context from hundreds of hours of programming from The Apprentice | Celebrity Apprentice shows.
The “on your knees” quote that Kelly used in the debate was from an episode about negotiating and not sexually demeaning in any way. The Apprentice contestant, Amarosa, has been on television to rebut Megyn Kelly’s accusation. Megyn Kelly still won’t own the error - that is dishonest.
Well, well,well....Rudy and I appear to be saying the same things. :-)
2. Your assertion evidently goes to "context" which might or might not bear out your version or might justify Megan Kelly's alleged refusal to "own" the alleged error.
3. Donald Trump had the opportunity and failed to deny the words or the context during the debate.
4. It remains undisputed that Trump admitted calling women, "fat pigs, dogs, slobs and disgusting animals."
So far, despite repeated attacks against Megan Kelly, we have nothing but evidence of first-class journalism and appropriate interrogation by a debate moderator.
If she was so intimidated why did she recently tell the world Trump was trying to schmooze her?
That is not a fair question, Ms Mable.
I like Martha a lot. I think she and Bill Hemmer do a decent job and are usually fair. They did a good job of moderating the Kiddies Table debate last time and are doing it again tomorrow night. I’ll probably watch that one but won’t watch the main debate if Trump won’t be there (don’t want to give Fox and MK extra ratings). I’ll watch Trump’s event if it’s on TV.
“Someone said Trump no doubt had inside information. Um. Yup.”
This sounds plausible.
I think the threat was that Trump might make a fool of Kelly, or mock her (or FoxNews in general) before, during or after the debate.
Fox has so many professionals - why is Kelly so sacrosanct with them? It’s not like she’s some lifelong journo that worked her way up the ranks.
Bottom line: she gave a platform to Rich Lowery and the anti Trump gang to launch their hateful diatribe against the party’s frontrunner a week before the debate. And she’s a fair and impartial moderator? That’s very Candy Crowleyesque. These debates are a circus.
Fox has jumped two sharks.
Fox is just trying to get ratings for Kelly.
Another Trump-draft-rider.
Trump has sure been happy to use fox these last couple years. Every Monday morning he’d call in.
Cavuto is the only show I still watch on Fox.
Before the debate she was on every night telegraphing that she was gonna make it about her. After the debate Ailes had to send her away for two weeks. She does an anti-Trump hour every hour night. She was the spring board for the NRO gang of 22. She’s on the cover of Vanity Fair with a story about Trump creeping on her - vanity - get it?. She does Michael Moore and Planned Parenthood and gay marriage many nights favorably. She and Google invited ladies in Hijab to ask questions on the debate. He said to Ailes you’re making so much money off of me give some to the Vets. Ailes instead sends out childish PR release. With all of that going on someone says eff you to the media and you take the media’s side. No one wonder we’re doomed to lose forever.
Who is the muslim activist woman?
I dont know this part of the story.
Trump has been waiting for a while to pull this one.
Fox just lost a lot of ratings, and the other candidates just lost a lot of viewers. Most who tune in wonât last long.
He has stuck it to the entire field!
And the rest of the week leading up to the Iowa caucus, everybody will be talking about guess who.
Thanks for the explanation - I was wondering how the fees that the advertisers pay for the debates was calculated. I remember Trump saying that CNN started off charging $x and raised it a lot after the 1st debate on Fox. Wasn’t sure if the $s were set and if the advertisers were going to get stuck paying a lot more for what will probably be much less viewers.
Kelly said that Trump made derogatory remarks about several women but only mentioned Rosie O’Donnell. She accused Trump and did not back it up. Now if she was fair and she could have taken past statements from other candidates and asked a similar question regarding women. She targeted Trump. You must understand that we are no longer debating candidates but we are also debating moderators and journalists as wellbecause of their many decades of left wing bias. It may be perceived by Trump that Fox has laid out a series of questions for Trump designed to embarrass him because of thier obvious bias against him. Trump decided his best choice was to not participate in an unfair debate. This is not only about Kelly but the entire Fox team who favor the GOPe.
Trump may not show for the upcoming FOX News debate.Trump said on an interview with Brent Baer, “Fox is playing games again...” When asked if he would be at the debate, Trump said “ We’ll see...”
