A new Reuters poll of Republicans shows that GOP frontrunner Donald Trump has expanded his national lead over rivals since his Jan. 19 endorsement by former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.
The new poll of 2,508 Republicans, taken over several days, showed Trump at 40 percent and Cruz sharply down to 10.5 percent. That's a 29.5-point margin.
Reuters' Jan. 19 results showed Trump at 33 percent to Cruz's 16 percent, which was a 17-point margin.
The Reuters poll is here, and can be adjusted to show the candidates' popularity among various subgroups. For example, Trump scored 38.4 percent among marrieds, 39 percent among people with an income of $50,000 to $70,000, 37 percent among people who earn above $150,000, and 36 percent among people older than 60.

LOL! Great post!
Thank you for that picture for my Album!!!
I think it is still completely plausible to get a Trump/Cruz ticket even with the fighting. Trump is known for not holding grudges. I think after New Hampshire, the fighting will cease. Depending on how Iowa goes and subsequent polling of NH and SC afterward, will be the determining factor for how long the bickering will continue.
:-))Not that polls are to be believed...THIS is a fine way to start the week!
TRUMP
to
TRIUMPH!
All Aboard, about to leave the station!
The filly is ready to run.
I supported McCain..he lost. I supported Romney..he lost. I said to my wife, I'm doing this myself.
Donald Trump
Rally in Sioux Center IA January 23, 2016
One of the Texas state legislators was just on Mark Davis show explaining how Trump has “lots of fans, but who knows if those fans are voters.” He said he has been in Iowa and “Trump has no ground game, he didn’t even have a phone bank until a few days ago. Cruz, on the other hand, has an awesome phone bank.” (I should know, I get about two calls a day from Cruz’s phone bank, and it annoys the h-— out of me.)
We’ll see what happens with the voters. Surprises happen both ways.
They left out the part that Trump’s numbers are expected to slide in this final week due to (1) his comment about _____(whatever he has said recently), (2) the serious weather giving people time to take a more serious look at their choices, or (3) undecided but previously disengaged voters taking a mature look at the candidates. Isn’t that part of their boilerplate for polling data on Trump?
Oh my. More heads exploding.
Go Trump!
How are they going to resolve the Canadian birth issue? Some might want to blame Trump, but the Dems have vowed to pursue it if Cruz is the nominee. Would that not apply to veep pick as well?
:-))
You’re welcome. Go TRUMP!
I’ve got bad news.
It’s going to get much worse for your wing.
National Review’s hate piece didn’t hurt...
You know if it were Jebbie or any other GOPe polling this high, the MSM would have already called it for them....and would tell the others to drop out.
The Establishment doesn’t know which pretense to use...embrace Trump or keep trashing him...or both!
Trump has them tied up in knots!
Lol. I have been getting bad news politically my entire life. I will deal with it.
